This was frankly one of the most memorable meals of my life. We visited (from Toronto) last month (January 2020) and haven’t stopped talking about how awesome the experience was since.
The food, the wine pairings, the excellent service from staff - who were genuinely warm and welcoming - absolutely made this an experience of a lifetime. The service was attentive, precise and polished, but never felt stuffy or insincere.
The restaurant is tucked away in a hidden lane, in a converted cottage. The dining room is spacious & tastefully decorated. It was modern enough to be interesting but traditional enough to honour the original building. It was very cozy with fireplaces burning and what looked like a heated garden lounge (I didn’t go out but other guests were seated out there with cocktails and everyone looked comfortable, happy and warm).
We had the tasting menu & wine pairing. This meal exceeded all expectations I had (based on a few other memorable fine dining experiences). Each course was beautiful, delicious and surprising, and featured to great advantage the excellent and fresh food produced nearby and wine pairings that brought additional depth and deliciousness to each course.
I can’t adequately describe how good the food was because you really need to taste it. Visit their website to get a sense of what the rotating menu looks like and just know that it was more delicious and beautiful than can be put into words :)
We hope to go back to Ireland again and I will definitely make the trip to Dublin just to visit Mulberry garden again. Thank you Mulberry Garden!

We hosted a lunch for 35 people at Mulberry Garden in December 2019 as part of our wedding celebrations. Everything about it was excellent. Claudiu and his team were extremely easy to deal with from the moment we first contacted them. The food, drinks and service were excellent. They also created a wonderful atmosphere with a drinks reception pre-lunch, and facilitated us in printing and displaying the seating plan so we didn't need to worry about it. Our guests loved it and so did we - one of the best (and easiest) aspects of our celebrations.

The restaurant is in a quiet back street and somewhat of a struggle to find but don’t be deterred it really is a hidden gem. We visited on a Ireland v Wales rugby weekend for a fixed menu event. What a fantastic venue & service with a superb wine list. Staff were very attentive and incredibly friendly. The restaurant has a very classy and warm feel about it with a superb external area with a great fire pit and comfortable seating area. If you are a foodie in Dublin do not miss the opportunity to visit, you will not be disappointed.

I have been here a few times. I always felt hungry as the portion sizes are very small. This time I believe they were even less than I expected. I asked for my lamb to be cooked pink. The server hesitated before saying she would ask the chef to see if this was possible. I smelled a rat. When the tiny portion of lamb arrived all became clear. The lamb had been cooked in a sous vide and had a mushy consistency. It tasted awful and had no texture. I felt that the food had all been pre-prepared and simply assembled before serving. This was not a good meal by any standards. We were rushed through so much so that when it came to paying the bill the maitre D had to go outside to find our server! I am of the view that lots of restaurants are pre-preparing food so the last minute element of cooking is reduced using no waste tiny portions and providing the consumers will little or no choice. All in the interest of profit maximisation. Food critics please wake up and alert the public.

Visited Mulberry Garden last night and had some super food! We were on the 8:45 sitting and every table was full and buzzing. It’s one of Dublin’s best kept dining secrets.
I enjoyed the chicken starter served with incredibly meaty mushrooms, leeks and black garlic. My cod and squid fish main course was displayed on a vivid green parsley sauce and accompanied by smoked eel wrapped in cabbage which all worked beautifully together. And finally I devoured every crumb of the most delicious poached rhubarb dessert served with a delicious little doughnut ( pictures of my dishes and the menu are attached).
My husband also loved the mackerel and lamb dishes that he selected. Beautiful brown and sour dough breads ( plus we asked for some rapeseed oil ) and salt together with an incredible venison Pre-starter and a perfectly selected wine list rounded out the meal.
The food and service from Claudiu and his team is consistently five star plus! Super!

I have been to Mulberry Garden together with my boyfriend for our New Year's Eve dinner and we have had a really great experience. We got a warm welcoming from the restaurant manager and the staff, after that we have been kindly escorted to our table and ordered a 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Every dish was amazing, all the tastes were perfectly balanced and wisely matched to red, rosè, white and port wines. The menu was wide and various ranging from Scallops and Thornhill Duck & Foie Gras to Atlantic Halibut and Wild Wicklow Venison, concluding with a raisins and pistachio dessert and hand crafted cheeses tasting. The staff was really kind, professional and delivered an excellent service. In conclusion, it has been a wonderful experience. Fully suggested!

We have enjoyed a few of the exceptional dinner boxes over the past few months from Mulberry Garden. The bespoke menus make each week a different journey. Portions are more than generous and the instructions make staging your own gourmet experience both fun and enjoyable.
We have loved lamb, venison and beef wellington entrees alongside sumptuous starters (their pate is phenomenal) and the four course experience always a pure sumptuous treat.
I have to say that they are both tantalising crafted and delivered, but also a really great value. We look forward to treating ourselves to many more of them and highly recommend the package and the always personal and thoughtful attention from the filks at Mulberry Garden. The personal menu touch on my own birthday menu back in October was most appreciated and delightfully sweet.

We recently held a very special birthday celebration in the private room upstairs in this lovely restaurant. The fire was lighting, Christmas decorations were everywhere and the background music was at the perfect level. Claudio and his team couldn't have been more attentive, they were helpful and friendly but never intrusive. The food was delicious and plentiful and the wines on offer were a great match for the set menu. All in all a fantastic setting for any special occasion, but perfect for a gathering of up to 12. We'll be back!

Mulberry Garden restaurant is great place for a sophisticated meal but etiquette for Covid missing !
Surprised totally that waiters / waitresses did not wear any masks or gloves either serving drinks or food throughout the evening . They were within a few feet most of the evening . As it was busy it didn’t help the closeness of them . They handed the drinks by the glass without gloves and wine also . On payment they initially started to take credit card until I advised them I would insert it into the machine .
We are very careful during the pandemic but we felt it put us at an unnecessary risk so we will not return until we read ‘normal COVID ‘ precautions for the time we live today with Covid is adhered to by this restaurant .

Had dinner last night at Mulberry and is was wonderful. I love their beautiful garden with fire pit for a relaxing pre dinner cocktail. Bread, butter, and salt are brought to your table promptly on sitting and the chef always sends a pre dinner appetizer(last nights was a duck eggroll). We got the 3 course tasting menu and both started with a corn fritter in a corn chowder that was delicious. We also both got the pork with cabbage and the portion was perfect. I ordered the peach dessert and my husband got the cheese sampler, but prior to our desserts once again the chef sent out a small dessert for each of us. The atmosphere is relaxed and romantic and service always excellent. In prior visits pre covid they have a live musician at times. Tucked away in Donnybrook and a great restaurant! Highly recommend.

My husband and I visited MG on a bit of a whim for our anniversary. The atmosphere, staff and food were excellent. I had a few dietary requirements that every staff member was very kind to explain my options. We were allowed to take drinks outside after our meal, absolutely not made to feel rushed at all. Food was amazing. I had the salmon starter, turbot main and lemon tart for dessert. I asked for a ”mocktail, and could you make it look fancy please” and they came out with a beautiful work of art. Our waiter called it “mama, baby mocktail” and it was adorable. My husband had the veal starter which was perfect.
Really made our night and kicked off our anniversary weekend in the best way. Will definitely be back. Also looks like a fab place to rent for a party, which my husband was hinting at...

We hadn't visited any restaurant in 2020 due to the restrictions nationwide. We saved our first date for our favorite place!
Definitely noticed some subtle changes to the service to make sure everything is compliant to the new restrictions. All staff are wearing masks but it didn't stop them from delivering an outstanding service. Menus, including the wine card, were single use.
And the food seems to be getting even better every time we visit! We always opt for the tasting menu and trust the chef to surprise and delight us!
If you haven't tried this amazing experience, do it!

I’ve always wanted to go to Mulberry Garden and after my sister had been raving about the dinner boxes she had been having from there during lockdown I decided to order one as a treat for my husband’s birthday. It was honestly the nicest meal I’ve had in a very long time, certainly the highlight meal of 2020. It was so straightforward to prepare and absolutely delicious. 4 courses in all - we started the evening with an incredibly delicious margarita, and then we ate our foie gras starter while doing the small bit of prep on the main course. It was the most deliciously tender venison with pomme purée, carrots, cauliflower cheese and spinach purée. It felt like eating in a top class restaurant but in the comfort of your own home. Followed by yummy sticky toffee pudding which just involved a simple reheat (and a delicious white chocolate cream accompaniment). The meal ended in such a high with cashel blue cheese drizzled with honey. I literally cannot wait until my next Mulberry garden dinner box and hopefully once this Covid nightmare is over to eating in the restaurant itself. Well done Mullberry Garden, you have pulled off the ultimate dinner box to lift ones spirits in these trying times

On a recommendation from friends we booked the private dining area upstairs for an extended family Christmas meal. We gathered for proscessco by the open fire before sitting down to an incredible meal. We had a coeliac and vegetarian in our party who were both effortessly catered for from starters to dessert. We sat around a large square table so everyone which was so ideal as everyone got to chat together. Service and staff were excellent and by the end of the night we were sure to book the same again for next year.

My wife and I had a voucher to use for this restaurant and scheduled our whole weekend around this. My wife emailed them to confirm on a Monday (ahead of the meal on a Saturday).
She was asked via email to send the voucher number. She immediately followed up by hitting reply to the same mail. No answer. She followed up the next day, and the next day, and the next day. No answer to any email.
Then on the Saturday she rang up to confirm. The manager, totally unapologetically kept insisting they didn't get the mail. When my wife asked what was their email address, it was a different one from the address she'd received from.
Despite it being entirely not her fault, the manager was rude, never once apologised for the email error on their side, and even condescendingly implied she had probably not sent the mails and left them in her drafts.
I then rang them myself and same thing, incredibly rude, unapologetic, acting like he couldn't care less about our problem. He kept implying the problem was on our side and I could practically hear him shrug his shoulders over the phone with indifference.
Finally when I asked why I should ever spend money there again after this experience, he arrogantly said several times "because we're Mulberry Garden" as if this elicits the envy of restaurant goers world over.
I'm shocked by how poorly we've been treated. A simple acknowledgement of the problem and apology would have put the whole thing to bed. Instead this manager who insisted he is "great at customer service" put off two customers from ever going again.
