Meeting locals and asking about local gems is our favorite way to travel. The Brazen Head was recommended as a "less pricey, more local pub" than the Temple Bar scene. Our stews were thick and hearty and the service quick once seated. Seating is an adventure since one must seek out a spot and hope to find leaving patrons. We... More

WE had a great experience here. A dinner full of storytelling in the Irish tradition with good music as well. The food was very good as well. A fun way to get an introduction to Irish culture.

Brazen Head was great. It was a great dinner and the stories told were old Irish and very interesting. The music was perfect as was the staff. Reservation are a must well in advance.

This place is exactly what you imagine walking into a pub in Dublin would be like. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, the service was very impressive considering how seemingly haphazard it was, and I would go again in a heartbeat.

The Brazen Head was suggested to us by several people when we were asking where to go for good traditional Irish food. This place is a gem and one of the oldest pubs in Ireland. The food was great and the atmosphere was charming. Traditional Irish music plays in one of several dining rooms. The outdoor patio area is lovely.

The Brazen Head is a MUST! The atmosphere is cool, the food was delicious and of course the drinks were tasty! Sadly we left before the live music began (9:30 pm) but I hear it's entertaining!

Do not miss this wonderful old ( and I do mean old) pub when you are in Dublin. It is wonderful. The people are friendly and on a beautiful day there is a nice courtyard. If not, then duck inside to one of the warm, quirky rooms. Do watch your heard. Low doorways in this 1000 year old pub. I... More
