Nice staff, nice atmosphere, great food. Not cheap but prices standard for a capital city. Great fish and chips!

The fish starters are fresh and delicious but it is the steaks that you come for. There is always a choice of cuts and size. The meat is top quality and they are cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself if cosy and the staff are incredibly friendly. I regularly eat here when in Dublin and it is always a highlight... More

To be fair this was a lovely restaurant with great service, but obviously not really suited to me as a vegetarian. This was a work dinner, and I hadn't flagged the fact that I didn't eat meat, hence the visit. The staff are lovely and the service is quick and good quality. If you're a meat eater, I think this... We were invited guests to a pre-match lunch (upstairs), before England took on Ireland for the RBS 6 Nations Grand Slam (which we lost btw) - can not tell you how fabulous an afternoon in this restaurant we had. Fabulous food, fabulous service (particular Argentinian waitress stood out), attention to detail, attentive management and overall possibly the best food I... More

We went for a meal on a Sunday night and the place was full. The food was superb and the service excellent. The steak I had was great and plentiful. Unfortunately the starter and main filled us up so much that we had no room left for dessert but what we saw coming past us to other diners looked fantastic.

We were recommended to this wonderful gastropub by our hotel. We were really lucky that two people were leaving just as we arrived or we would not have been able to get a table - it was so busy. Yet this wasn't a Friday or Saturday night, but a Wednesday and it was heaving! The reason was simple superb food... More

Great food, authentic but not pretentious, goo craic the staff, brilliant. We had the meat board displayed beforehand to assist the decision-making (even the vegetarian in our party was impressed) and accompanied our medium-rares of various cuts with a fine Amarone. Worth a return visit !

We arrived in Dublin late and went to the Chophouse for a late dinner because it was convenient to our hotel. The menu and choices were plentiful and the taste was excellent. We had steak, salmon, fish and chips and the Ravioli Truffles. Everything we has was sumptuous. And the Chophouse was the best restaurant we dined at in Dublin... More

Walking past this place and chanced our arm in getting a table for two, luckily the staff found a table for us. We ordered a platter of sea food starters, which I could eat over and over again, each morsel was full of flavour and different from the others. the Argentinian waitress showed us a board of actual different cuts... Love this place. Appealing casual (but really well fitted out) Hampton's style (light and airy) dining in Dublin. Excellent steaks and great fish board (the fish board as starter or main course is an outstanding dish - it really is). Expensive (like the Hampton's, and most Dublin dining), but worth it. My only criticism is that the wooden boards for... More
