Good steaks and starters cooked well, but no more than that. Service friendly and efficient. Good wine list - Chablis was good, chateauneuf du pape was average (too young). Main drawback was the noise on a table of eight it was only possible to talk to your neighbours and then one at a time.

On the second visit this week, Matthew already recognized me and welcomed me in to my table before I even finishing entering the gastro. He recommended me a beer that I wouldn't have tried and it was light, sweet and the right profile for me. He remembered what I ordered a couple nights ago (!), and advised me to try... More

tasty good food,, Would not hurt to think about presentation of a few of the dishes to make them more customer friendly. Otherwise no complaints. staff quite friendly, Could maybe slow down the pace a bit so glasses would not break so much.

I'm in Dublin with my family to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. A grandmother, two parents, two adult children, a spouse, and a seven month old niece. We've been here for two days, and will be here for a few more, but I doubt we'll find a kinder staff than at the chophouse!! Matt, the bartender, is an artist.... More

My wife and I were staying in Ballsbridge overnight on 12th April, and went for a stroll to go for dinner (no reservations made ahead). We arrived upon the Chophouse, about 15 minutes walk from Ballsbridge, and were lucky enough that they had 2 tables left. Now I am hesitant to give out too many 5 star reviews, but the... More

The best piece of steak I have ever had, pretty sure I had the fillet steak it was amazing! Little bit pricey but you get what you pay for when it comes to steak as everybody knows! Will definitely be back anytime I can!! Only downside is the place itself is a little bit small.

Long awaited visit to the Chophouse with my daughter - arrived and were greeted very nicely shown to our table - lovely one looking out onto the street - great to watch all the activity inside and out. Buzzing atmosphere and a superb waitress in Marianna - great guidance through the menu and on taking the order she noted that... More

After watching Anthony Bourdain eat here on "layover" I knew I had to try it. Of course, it did not disappoint. We booked in advance and our table was ready upon arrival. The service, drinks and food were phenomenal. It has a cozy yet modern feel to it, and I would have been happy eating every meal here! I highly... More
