Came last year and said we would return whenever we were in Dublin. It didn't disappoint. The food was lovely again we had oysters and scallops followed by fillet steaks and vegetables. The wine was very nice and the service was excellent. We were sat upstairs this time which was much nicer in terms of ambience. Will return again. Thanks... More

I was here for lunch with my colleague. I had a bowl of the nicest soup and brown bread that I have had in a long while, for only €6. Sweet Potato & coconut, the flavour was stunning and a generous portion. My colleague had a burger & chips which was also excellent for only €10. I was impressed with... More

I have no idea why I have never tried FX before; it ticked all the right boxes for me. I’m super picky how my steak is cooked, like most people but they got it bang on. There was not a pick of food left on the plates during any course. I wish I got the name of our waitress as... More

6 of us went for Sunday lunch and not one of us were disappointed. Most went for starters and again there wasn't a crumb left of the plates which ranged from kidneys to black pudding, smoked salmon, liver pate, all were delicious. My husband and I went for the Chateaubriand, served with potatoes and veg and we loved every single... More

This is probably my favourite steakhouse in dublin, I order the same dish every time and genuinely look forward to visiting. However my last few visits have been disappointing by their own standard's. My favourite starter dish of scallops and black pudding has miracoulsy shrunk in size. This used to come with 3 porrions but only has 2 now? We... More

We've visited FX Buckley on several occasions, and never been disappointed. If you love steak then this is undoubtedly THE place to go when in Dublin. There's a very wide variety of cuts - and all of them look amazing. My wife and I both had the fillet on our last visit and it was top class in every way... More

We booked this restaurant based on trip advisor reviews, I have to admit on first arrival I Wasn't sure about the place, but we were quickly shown to our table which was upstairs. We were offered the early bird menu along with the main menu and both decided to go for steaks from the main, I had the 8oz fillet,... More

Dublin's original steakhouse with the experience and knowledge of over 25 years of serving the perfect steak. We change our menus each season to reflect the best that Irish produce has to offer and to ensure the highest quality of local fresh seafood. We offer an informed wine list to meet all budgets and an extensive selection of cocktails and spirits. We are also open for weekday for lunch serving health and tasty dishes at very reasonable prices. The way in which we guarantee the highest quality in beef in both texture and flavour is by choosing Irish beef and the highest grade of traditional breeds of cattle. At F.X.BUCKLEY our prime cuts are hung on the bone at 4°C and at 80% humidity for a minimum of 28 days. Storing meat for several weeks where it can loose up to 16% of it's weight involves considerable expertise so all F.X.BUCKLEY butchers are specifically trained for the process. The benefit for our patrons is to experience the concentration and saturation of natural meat flavours and superior tenderness. Hence why you will hear experts use terms such as "buttery and rich", and "earthy and nutty" to describe our dry-aged beef.
