Since we were staying at the Hayfield Manor and it was so beautiful - we didn't want to leave! - we decided to eat at Perrotts Garden Bistro and were very pleased! The service was simply excellent - attentive without hovering. We enjoyed the duck, lamb and rib eye steak - all done perfectly for us -medium rare. The atmosphere... More

Five for lunch after two (mature students) were conferred with MA (Hons). We started with Prosecco, had excellent cold plates, washed down with Cab Sav and Sav Blanc. Very lively and enjoyable debate about all of the issues of the day, principally the new Trump administration. One of us was an American supporter of the President. The staff were terrific.... More

This is the more casual dining room but is lovely. The food is super and so is the service. Three walls of windows looking out to greenery and flowers. There was one large group one evening that made a bit of noise.

We decided to eat in the hotel on the first night and we were not disappointed. We had three courses and all were exceptional, the soup was homemade and tasty, the fish (Seabass) was cooked to perfection, my wife's Lamb was melt in the mouth and the puddings were just to die for. There was enough on the plate to... More

Ate here while staying in the hotel. Ate in library section which was lovely & quaint however we missed the buzz from the main restaurant & the people watching. Waiting staff friendly & efficient. Duck terrine starter a little bland but ham hock & black pudding starter delicious. Main of sea bass has far too much sauce over it -... More

The food was very average, presentation average, at these prices you expect something out of the ordinary but this reminded me of what you would expect at a conference dinner. The restaurant is poorly lit but on the plus side had nice staff and comfortable chairs

Very disappointed with the dinner here, was so looking forward to eating in here. Found the food to be very bland and the portions were very small also. The staff were lovely & the restaurant itself is lovely.
