Best chips to get in Cork City centre with a place on Mac Curtain street and a newly opened place by the English Market. An actual bag of chips in cork is a rare sight. You can pop across to the pub while you wait for your food and enjoy a pint! Fish is fantastic and they have the best... More

Fish and chips and burgers are a touchy subject in Cork City. Everyone has their favorites. It's safe to say, I think The Fish Wife rivals all of the old school establishments in this town. I first tried their location on MacCurtain Street a few years back when I was back at Christmas. I had the grilled swordfish with chips... More

Great fresh fish. Had the grilled swordfish and a cod meal. Beautiful stuff. About €10 for a meal- just can't be beaten. Plus the location at the main entrance to the English market is fantastic.

The title of my review says it all really, when I went there on a Saturday the line was quite long but that didn't stop the efficient staff getting my meal to me in a matter of minutes, the chips are top notch

I like my fish and chips thought I'd try this place out as it was so busy thought it must be good. Enjoyed the home cooked chips unfortunately I felt the cod was very thin but it tasted good

Enjoyable meal of fish and chips served in a box and eaten in the carryout where there were 4 bar stools and a counter. There was lots of choice of fish on the menu. I would definitely recommend these chunky chips and fish.
