Cod was nice in fairness, peas too, good presentation but the chips were overdone and greasy, wouldn't go back in a hurry.

While in town recently at night with a friend we came accross the Fish Hatch. We were delighted to see the chef's serving up the fish and chips. There was a que and a bit of a wait but it was worth it. The fish was well cooked and tasty. The chips were delicious. They were reasonably priced.
Have got fish and chips here twice and the fish is so fresh it is absolutely delicious. Nice presentation with sauce and chips. Good value too.

This restaurant is amazing, the quality of food, portions and service was ten out of ten. We had no reservation and they accommodated while been booked out. Fist time for a meal here and we all said we would def be back. Thanks so much for a fab evening..
great fresh fish cooked to order and great value. The chips are delicious as is the food served. loved it
This place seems to have a name that it doesn't really live up to. Being connected to the Imperial Hotel, I expected a crispy, flaky batter, and fluffy, crisped chips. What I got was a soggy fillet of fish, and slightly soggy, possibly underdone chips. Will not be returning.
I have eaten here a number of times when I have had to work late. The quality of the fish and chips is excellent and the service is polite and very quick. I had hake and the batter was nice and light, not overly oily. Couldn't fault it.
Food was lovely, but shame about the old people that work there! They were extremely rude and did not have very good personal skills. Due to this rudeness, I will not be visiting again.
