Just wanted bar food barman gets me the menu and person at the bar recommends the burger.... I say to the person at the bar, you must have had a different menu, because it's not on the menu, and the barman says, "you can have a burger, but it's not on the menu... just in case you fancy one.

This place is really several venues in one, in the front bar you can expect irish traditional music most weekday nights and then at weekends you'll find one of a variety of top covers bands that play anything from, rock, pop, to reggae. Also towards the rear of the building there is an entireiy seperate venue "The Sanctuary" which hosts full tilt... More

In the winter, at least, Cruises is the only bar with live music on a Tuesday night. It was a traditional Irish session, wonderfully done, with musicians coming and going. Old, historic building with wall from original abbey from the 1100s.

It's quiet early on so one can view the architecture--stone floors, wooden beams, antique tables and chairs. The music starts around 9:30-10 and is a true taste of local culture and charm.

We heard live music while walking past so we went in for a pint and ended up staying until bar close! Very friendly staff and the music was good.

We didn't eat here but had been wandering around Ennis after 9:30 and found a traditional music night at Cruises. It was great! 9 musicians playing irish music and having a great time doing it. Live music every night, definitely stop in for a pint after dinner.

During our day trip to this small cosy city that Ennis is, we got caught by a veeery heavy rain (welcome to Ireland, folks!) and decided to look for shelter and grab a pint in the meantime. We randomly chose this place because it looked decent from the outside, but the interior was one hundred times better looking! Cruises has... More

No seasoning used in any of the dishes. Seafood chowder was watery and fish was chewing gum. Hamburger was burnt to a crisp, black and tasteless. Will never go back, absolutely horrific food

We were looking for traditional music, and although unadvertised for a Wednesday night, Cruises had the best. By the end of the evening a 5 piece group of musicians had increased to 11 and it was fabulous. It was a lot of fun, and clearly families were included - 11 pm, but the children of the various musicians were wandering... More

The food was bad, the cutlery was dirty as well as the table tops and the staff were indifferent. it was just like a fast food restaurant, wouldn't go again

Wonderful atmosphere for a sing-along, and one can enjoy listening to many famous musicians nightly during the Summer. Come and enjoy a 'session' with many of Clare's well known musicians. The pub gets its name from a famous tailor who resided in the area, made famous by the song "Spancill Hill" which has the June Fair held in the locality each year.
