Decided to give Dobbies a try again for breakfast, what a mistake that was! The hot breakfast items were very pale in colour and cooked and no more, the slice sausage I was give man barely made up a full slice and was stared at by the lady serving because I happened to mention was that it. Service is slow... More

Tastey home made food, but think it's a bit over priced for a cafe. Nice place to go a wander on a wet afternoon.

Stopped in for lunch and they had an offer 2 courses for 6.95 had soup starter and macaroni. This is a very popular cafe as there were hardly any spare tables by 1pm . Good value . 2 choices of soup. 5 mains and 2 or 3 deserts. All looked good .

Lazy cooking practices ruining good quality ingredients. Sliced sausage and black pudding sitting in 2cm of hot fat having been cooked in trays without draining. Bacon boiled in trays - no colour, hash browns and mushrooms deep fried. Shame as all the other cold offerings look a level above most. I appreciate having to cook to volume but to many... More

I popped in with the family for a Sunday morning treat, I recommend getting in before 10am as it seems to get quite busy at that time. Service starts at 9am though unfortunately the haggis wasn't ready at that point but I didn't mind waiting, it's a lovely spicy haggis that's wonderful with breakfast. Everything is great, bacon, square sausage,... More

Went here during festive period. Great atmosphere for Christmas with lots of lovely decorations. Had lunch which was okay. Cakes were huge and fabulous though! Good for a Saturday afternoon when you want to shop but not trail around in town.

We usually come here when our car is being serviced in Ayr. Clean tables, helpful staff and fresh Gents toilets.
