Nice and cosy oldschool pub/restaurant at a great location. Came here a few times for a drink and a snack, food is good and at a good price as well. Will definately recommend this place to anyone!

If you like your steak pies with the pastry cooked on top of the pie then this is the place to come. I eat out a lot and noticed most places do a stew with the pastry on the side. I recommend that you book a table, they get very busy. Oh! and a wee yun is plenty big enough... More

We had a family birthday celebration here last night! Very short review this is! Service and hospitality was spot on, food delicious, and the price just right. Very busy when we arrived (7 ish) but were seated straight away, and no sign of short staff. We had to cancel a booking from elsewhere, as our experience recently was very bad,... More

We stopped for lunch. Steak Pie is a speciality so we both ordered a wee yin. The food was good and exactly what we needed on a cold November day.

Haven't been to the Ship for a long time as my last visits had been below par. I got an itison burger deal so decided to give it another try. When we made the booking we were told that they only allow a certain number of itison bookings per day so they had to check to see if our booking... More

With your itison deal it states what burgers you are entitled to on the deal. We included the chicken burger which does cost more than the beefburger as we felt it would give more choice to the customer but also meant we took less out of the deal just so we could show our new chicken burger to the public.... I had friends from Preston visiting and we visited here for lunch. We've all been here before and it was a dead cert that we return. Great food and friends love this place and tell all their friends about the tasty food on offer. Definitely a place to eat. Great food at great prices. Staff do a great job.

We haven't eaten in The Ship for a few years and probably won't be back anytime soon. The food for the adults was fine, if imo a bit over-priced, but the children's menu is ridiculous. £5.50 for most choices and £5.75 for the fish and chips. Nearly six quid for two small pieces of fish and some chips, no beans,... More

Our kids menu is priced accordingly and is competitive with our establishments which would be regarded as competition. All our kids meals are prepared and cooked from scratch and not the bought in frozen variety that so many places seem to adopt. We feel that kids should be able to get similar food to the adults hence why we even... More

Had such a lovely afternoon visit, few drinks and steak dinner. Chat and banter with the two beardies, the managers, and the staff very attentive and friendly. Food was amazing,, lentil and pancetta soup, black pudding, Brie in breadcrumbs, followed by steak all round, different cooks, then apple pie and custard,, AMAZING!! Will most definitely return soon, don't forget mates... More

Me and my partner were looking for somewhere local to us for breakfast, and decided to try Ship Inn. We got as far as walking in the main doors,as the stench of fish was overpowering!! I dont mind smelling seafood, but at 10:15am and the place has only been open 15 minutes...you want it smelling fresh and clean.
