Basil Harbour Café is a lovely little café on the seafront. Dogs very welcome and a nice choice of breakfasts. Great ambience with lots of people coming and going, clearly a popular choice. Met the owner's dad who has the most amazing dog. Lovely that dogs are welcome as we have two of our own. Now that we are moving... More

Visited last week and I can honestly say it was faultless! It is small but has character, the chowder is the best I've tasted and the cakes are delicious. We recently visited Nairn to try the newly opened sundancer but found it disappointing, passed basil on the way and decided to come back to try, glad we did!

This little hidden gem serves great food, especially breakfast!! It's definitely worth a visit if you are staying close by at the caravan site.

I regularly visit Basil's after a visit to the beach. It is in a great spot looking right on to the harbour. It is a lovely place to be, particularly on a sunny day or a cold day when you need something hot. It is very popular and is usually always busy when I visit. The down side to this... More

Situated right at the harbour, this little cafe seems very popular with locals and visitors alike. I visited for some take away bacon rolls and coffee to take back to our caravan on LochLoy caravan park. Tasted lovely and friendly staff 😃

Had to drive between Inverness and Aberdeen last week, noticed a signpost to the harbour from the main road and found this delightful little cafe overlooking the marina - the only thing better than the tea was the welcome and service - wholeheartedly recommend this little gem of a place - and if the owner reads this, thank you for... Upon leaving a nearby hotel hungry after waiting 30 mins to be served an extortionate breakfast, we were all famished and a little annoyed. We took a walk on a sunny Autumn day to the end of the harbour and came across this little gem. Great service and great food served in a small, cozy and non-pretentious setting.
