Wetherspoons is a great place for anonymity. You can go in there literally anytime for food, a drink or for a celebration! The food is generally okay, but nothing special. They do have various "food days" on different days of the week, like monday might be steak night, tuesday curry night, etc. Which would be fine if the prices were... More

Went here for lunch on Tuesday and had a couple of pints of a nice IPA and Haggis, neeps & tatties as a meal. The meal was as advertised on the menu with McSweens haggis which although tasy would have been better, in my opinion, if a Cockburns of Dingwall haggis were available. Usual good quick service. I find Wetherspoons... More

Always have to visit Weatherspoons wherever we go,have been in loads. It was very nice, went in for coffee and cake and then returned for lunch. The service was very good and the mac and cheese would recommend. Very friendly staff.

Was a bit peckish after a long train journey from Glasgow and decided to give the local Wetherspoon's a visit. I only needed a snack as I knew we were going out for a meal during the early evening. I decided on two starters, one was haggis balls in a whisky sauce and the other was chicken wings with a... More

Thanks for your 'spicy' review. Glad you enjoyed your visit and the Edinburgh gin helped to calm down the heat from the chicken wings and sauce. Hope you visit again soon for some chicken and gin. More

Came in to watch the rugby as it was advertised for all games in the 6 nations, to was small, no sound, viewing area was untidy and unorganised, staff seemed uninterested, had some food and drinks, reasonable prices but food was lukewarm and pretty poor quality, we moved on for the second half

As with all Wetherspoons we weren't disappointed. A nice meal, cooked well although the medium rare steak looked a tad dry but my fellow diner said it was tasty nonetheless.

We ordered a baked potato with cheese and chilli and also a vegetable curry for dinner but neither dish was impressive at all. My jacket potato was a heated up microwaved potato with minimal cheese. I could have made it better myself. How can you muck this up!!! The curry was obviously something frozen and reheated as when we began... More

Popped in on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Both had the eggs royale and a cup of tea for about £6 each, great value. Eggs royale were as good as I've had elsewhere, not stingy on the smoked salmon which is always great. Nice bar and lovely staff.

The menu choice was quite limited as several options were unavailable. Nevertheless the food was good, promptly delivered and hot. Friendly staff too!
