Had lunch with friends and this is our second visit - the fact that we got the train from Fife specifically for lunch tells you how good it is! Fab food atmosphere and service.... Was not disappointed on our return trip and will def be back again !

The staff very very welcoming, even though I arrived quite late on in service. I explained my gluten and onion intolerance and the chef was really helpful, modifying a special just for me. The food was great and the setting is great fun, with wine bottles up to the (very high) ceiling. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice restaurant with a good range of locally sourced food, well cooked. The earlybird menu is excellent value although we ate later. The music was a bit loud although we enjoyed the selection

Restaurant is in lovely building right in the banks of the river Ness. We went for a late lunch and luckily had booked a table as it was fully booked on a Monday! The meal was absolutely wonderful and so reasonable. Portions not huge but just right for lunchtime. Enjoyed a nice bottle of white wine again at a reasonable... More

First place I hit up after getting off the coach, and what a brilliant choice is was! Stunning views of the River Ness whilst you dine on perfectly cooked & beautifully presented food! Service was second to none, matching the venue and food perfectly! Excellent range of local beers also!

Went along for an early evening meal with friends. The menu changes every Thursday, so a good variety of food is offered. Between us we had fish cakes and salmon for starter and then for main we had steak and fish (I can't remember which kind). All 4 of us thought the food was extremely tasty and beautifully presented. None... More

Had to book a table on a Thursday night so that told me something from the off. 8pm we were made to feel very welcome by the staff and the locations n interior was lovely. We both ordered starters then I ate comfort of duck. Have to say it was absolutely fantastic. My partner had ribeye steak and I've never... More

Was given gift vouchers for a present. Even though it was free for us we were not in the least bit disappointed. Soup of the day was pea and herb (delicious). Goats cheese salad (yum). Chicken wings (finger licking good). Steak was done to perfection. Sea bass was heaven on a plate and roast chicken was devine. Hubby and daughter... More

First experience at The Mustard Seed... felt very welcoming... went with a group of 15 people for a retirement do.. staff were unobtrusive but friendly and efficient. Lovely atmosphere with subdued lighting and quiet music. Unusual building beautifully furnished. Food was really quite delicious with adequate portion sizes and reasonably priced. Raspberry panna cotta was to die for! A very... More

Description
Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.
