We had a good lunch at this place. Restaurant was very busy and required some waiting for a table. Food was just good. Nothing to die for. Service good. Pretty loud.

I always go here when I’m in Inverness. Great atmosphere, lovely food. Service is a little sketchy every now and then but all in all it’s a delightful well constructed restaurant. The food is top notch.

We've been here 3 times in recent months, having received gift vouchers for birthdays. Consistently high standard of food and friendly helpful staff. Also very good value. On the last occasion we thought they were full up. However they did fit us in on a...More

We had lunch there during a brief visit to the city - and we were both very impressed with the outstanding value and lovely food. Friendly staff who were extremely efficient and polite. The extra charges for the steak and fish still meant the bill...More

Had managed to get a reservation at this very busy restaurant. We were seated upstairs with a good view of the city. The food was excellent in taste and portions; the service did not match the quality of the food. Servers appeared inexperienced and spent...More

Reading other reviews, not sure what people expected. This is a mid-priced, local eatery, not a Michelin starred 'experience'. It is very busy and can get stress for the staff/kitchen. But the good will is clear and present. Moreover, the food is good, very good....More

Located in an old church, the atmosphere is terrific and service brilliant. Good value for money. We just keep coming back again and again (business trips to Inverness). Try also their sister restaurant across the river, very good also and magnificent views of the River...More

It was hard getting a table here, but worth the effort. We were treated well and the food was excellent! A bit of a hectic pace, but we did not feel rushed. Quite amused by their “Scotch Whisky Map”! Informative chart on types of scotch...More

Hello, yes, contact the restaurant and they will advise. If I mind correctly there were two GF starters and two GF mains, since I did not have dessert I cannot comment. The only downside is they do not have gluten-free bread.

Description
Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.
