Eaten her a few times. First meal was truly excellent but things have gone seriously down hill from that point to the extent we haven't returned since. We were shown to a table downstairs. There was a railing between us and the bar area. We did not realise we would be expected to hand our plates over this bar to... More

A busy restaurant with friendly and efficient service. The food quality was very good, with a wide choice of locally sourced dishes.

I visited at lunch time so took advantage of their 2 course offer. I had the Mull of Kintyre cheddar tart followed by sea bream and loved both of them. The main course was served with an ample portion of vegetables as well as some boiled potatoes. I didn't really have room for dessert but given how good the 2... More

An absolute delight! We thoroughly enjoyed the food (I had the Strathdon blue cheese, butternut squash & sundried tomato salad with toasted pine nuts, followed by the local venison). The staff were wonderful - very friendly - service was prompt and attentive and of course they were happy and able to provide me with delicious gluten free food. A great... More

As part of a large tour group, we ate at this restaurant and had a lovely meal with excellent service. It was very enjoyable and I would highly recommend this restaurant. The ambiance was lovely, the wait staff proficient and responsive, and the food delicious.

Ate here last night and was pleased with an interesting menu with quality local ingredients. The atmosphere had a buzz without being too noisy and beautiful views from the window.

My girlfriend and I came for a birthday meal, and the food certainly did not disappoint. The atmosphere was buzzing and the entire place was packed. I even witnessed a few groups having to be turned away due to lack of space, sign of a good place. However it appears we got served by a few employees who seemed to... More

Went here last night with my partner. We had black pudding and blue cheese starter. When it arrived it was literally a slice of black pudding on top of lettuce, a tiny bit tasteless Blue cheese was underneath. £8 for something I could of made better at home. I had chicken for main which was dry, it was meant to... More

The Mustard seed consistently provides great service, with a regularly changing menu and excellent value on the pre theatre menu. A must place to eat in Inverness.

Description
Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.
