Traveling through Inverness with my mother, we came across the Mustard Seed as a recommendation in her travel book. Sure enough, our dinner delighted us both! The seafood was some of the best I've had, truly a decadence in both flavor and experience. The staff...More

I would say this is a pretty good restaurant and I would recommend it to someone visiting Inverness. The food was good quality and what you would expect from a nice restaurant. Try and get an upstairs table, by the windows, which have a great...More

My husband and I enjoyed a two course lunch here today. Great food, lovely atmosphere, good service and very reasonably priced. There's a reason they're busy! Highly recommend!

Generally very good food, reasonably priced wine by the carafe and good service. I enjoyed delicious soup, flavoursome and moist chicken and perfectly seasoned mashed potatoes. One of our party had rump steak which wasn’t quite as good as the other dishes otherwise I’d have...More

Beautiful, busy, buzzy restaurant! Went in as per a recommendation from the landlord of my B&B and was not disappointed! Had the early supper specials- 2 courses for £13.95. The Slow Roasted Park Belly was so tender and juicy, it was heaven. Service was fast...More

Hello, yes, contact the restaurant and they will advise. If I mind correctly there were two GF starters and two GF mains, since I did not have dessert I cannot comment. The only downside is they do not have gluten-free bread.

Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.
