Went there to celebrate 2 birthdays and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was excellent and the decor and atmosphere just right.

We know why this restaurant is rated number 1. Everything we ordered (party of 5) was excellent. It is also located on Ness Walk. Go for a stroll after dinner along the river.

My husband and I had an " early bird" supper ( before 6:45 pm) and saved some money. We enjoyed our dinners of sea bream and risotto. The service was excellent and the restaurant was full.A good value for the money. The menu has changed...More

Can't say enough good things about this place - we got in without a reservation during the early part of the evening (5:45-6:45 pm) where you pay £17.95 for 2 courses. So worth it! I had soup followed by salmon while my husband had steak....More

Rocpool is well located on the bank of the Ness river. Although very busy when we dined, the service was friendly and efficient. The food was interesting and delicious, a contemporary reworking of traditional Scottish food, a varied snd innovative menu based on local ingredients...More

To quote my husband... And I agree... Everything was top notch. Started with beef carpaccio and smoked haddock risotto.... Both phenomenal in taste and presentation. My husband had the venison and I had the salmon. Spectacular. If you're ever in Inverness... This is a must...More

Really enjoyed our meal at Rocpool, made extra special by great service from staff. We hadn't booked but on a rainy Wednesday evening we tried our luck! Having been turned away from another rated seafood restaurant in the area we weren't hopeful but turned up...More

Turned up for lunch to be told the kitchen was closed. It was just before 2.30 and the chefs were never asked if willing to take another table. Wonder if the owner would be happy to know we spent over £100 elsewhere. Will hopefully try...More

We had a lovely dinner here. Reservations a must! Atmosphere so pleasant. Staff attentive. Very accommodating of dietary needs. Prices very reasonable for fine food and great wine. Enjoyed a peaceful meal without feeling rushed.

Description
Since it opened in 2002, Rocpool Restaurant ha become an effervescent Inverness brasserie with a loyal fan base. A cool contemporary decor with lots of bare wood and bold colours give a buzzy vibe to the restaurant which is situated in a prime site on the banks of the River Ness. The kitchen has a repotoire of eclectic modern dishes which use Scotland's matchless produce sprinkled with Mediterranean sunshine, plus a pinch of exotic spice here and there.
