What an amazing cake was made for my mum's 80th birthday. All I had to do was tell Ros I wanted something appropriate to knitting and sewing and she came up with a cake with so much detail! It looked and tasted absolutely amazing and survived the journey from Thurso to Inverness. Will def be using Mrs Cups again. Thank... More

This is a quaint restaurant in the picturesque harbor of Scrabster (right next to Thurso). The owner of the shop makes all these delicious cakes and you can look them up on Facebook. I love to book their afternoon tea. You get a variety of finger sandwiches and little cakes along with your tea. I highly recommend this place as... More

Not been this north for years so when I came back up this year I didn't even know it existed. Such a lovely find, a wonderful overall experience. Staff were lovely, tea cosies were such a nice touch, lovely decor and the cakes were to die for! I had an orange chocolate slice and it was the best I have... More

This little shop right next door to The Ferry Inn in Scrabster, Scotland was a surprising delight! Ate there twice. Prompt service with very yummy sweets as well as a full range of full breakfasts and lunches. Everything made fresh and the eclectic collection of teapots and dishes was charming. The inside is very bright and cheerful. In nice weather... More

I happened across Cups as I was driving around the Thurso area and from the moment I stepped through the door I felt welcome. The staff and service were excellent. Tea in China cups, had to be given the name but I think it makes the tea taste better. Lovely little tearoom in a picturesque former chapel. I will definitely... More

My wife found this online as a potential lunch stop on my birthday while we drove the North Coast 500. It's opposite the harbour in Scrabster and obviously benefits from the ferry and other visitors. But...if you're in Thurso take the time to drive out to Cups - it is as good a tea-shop as you'll find in Scotland. Nice... More

Description
A quirky little vintage tearoom for lovers of all things tea and cake. Set in an old chapel nestled in the fishing port of Scrabster, the last stop on the mainland before catching the ferry to Orkney. All home cooked meats and soups using local produce. Home baking prepared in the tearoom using traditional recipes given by family and friends. We serve food all day which include breakfast, light lunches, and a choice of homemade soups. We are also fully licenced and stock local ales, wines and spirits.
