We went here just after a long hike and it was a wonderful treat. The cakes and scones were to die for and the coffee was fantastic but best of all was the very friendly service. Great location too!

For the last couple of years our visits to this special place have not been enjoyable and we have been tempted to seek sustenance elsewhere. But we have been going for so long it was a habit difficult to break. This weekend we were thrilled...More

Great service, great food, great with the kids (and a good kid menu) and the cakes look better than ever. Always make a point to stop in when we are in town. Thanks

A very pleasant address. Lovely beef stew and fish soup. Simple, excellent taste. And the place is very homely and warm.

We have always stopped here for lunch, coffee and cake after our walks in the area. However, this time left before we even ordered. On arrival I looked in to see if the cafe was busy. I was snapped at by a young lady who...More

Thank you for frequently visiting the Druie; we are sorry that this visit was not to the high standard you have come to expect. As a regular, you will be aware that because the Druie is in the headmaster's room of the old Rothiemurchus school,...More

Regulars here when we are up in this area as the cakes and coffee are always good although this time the service was very slow due to us being outside with our dog Buddy to the point we were forgotten about.

The café is just outside Aviemore on the Rothiemurchus Estate. It is fairly small but does have outside seating (weather permitting). Not a wide range of items on the menu but the food was good and the price was reasonable. It is very popular so...More

The Druie's outside tables are in a safe, walled area in front of Rothiemurchus Centre and are enjoyed by many dogs and their owners. They have the same menu and service as the tables inside. Only guide dogs can go into the... More

The Druie takes its name from the burn(river) that rushes behind the restaurant and always seems in a hurry to carry clear, sparkling mountain water from the Cairngorms to the River Spey. We are open daily 9.30am - 5.00pm for locally roasted coffee, locally sourced tasty lunches, leaf teas and delicious homemade cakes, with a focus on dishes prepared from lovingly home produced beef from our pedigree herd of Highland cattle, our velvety venison from the ancient forest of Rothiemurchus and seasonal produce from specialist producers, served in a relaxed, friendly environment. Whilst enjoying your coffee or lunch at the Druie, you can enjoy the exhibition of local artwork which changes each month, especially selected by Ellie, who manages the Gallery at Loch an Eilein and is also a member of Creative Cairngorms.
