Lovely place with friendly staff and incredible cakes. Great shop on site too great for non-tacky souvenirs. Was very reassured by how seriously they take allergies here too :)

On the positive side, the food selection is good and of excellent quality. The cafe is well kept and attractive. On the negative side, we welcomed in an extremely hurried and brusque manner. Literally, we were being asked to make our selection before we had...More

Really nice cakes. Very nice seating area outside. Lovely shop and farm shop, although they are a bit pricey.

Great food, great service, friendly and welcoming staff...don't miss lunch or coffee and cake. Make the most of outside seating or enjoy the buzz of the old schoolhouse interior.. be sure to try the Cullen skink, seriously tasty.

We are from Texas but love Scotland and stop here every visit going and coming to the highlands. The scones and lattes are some of the best.

visited the Druie after a morning with out-door activities, hungry and ordered the burger with a blue cheese topping. In comes the juiciest burger with a thick slice of blue cheese on top, served with an aromatic red onion chutney that was to die for,...More

The Druie's outside tables are in a safe, walled area in front of Rothiemurchus Centre and are enjoyed by many dogs and their owners. They have the same menu and service as the tables inside. Only guide dogs can go into the... More

Description
The Druie takes its name from the burn(river) that rushes behind the restaurant and always seems in a hurry to carry clear, sparkling mountain water from the Cairngorms to the River Spey. We are open daily 9.30am - 5.00pm for locally roasted coffee, locally sourced tasty lunches, leaf teas and delicious homemade cakes, with a focus on dishes prepared from lovingly home produced beef from our pedigree herd of Highland cattle, our velvety venison from the ancient forest of Rothiemurchus and seasonal produce from specialist producers, served in a relaxed, friendly environment. Whilst enjoying your coffee or lunch at the Druie, you can enjoy the exhibition of local artwork which changes each month, especially selected by Ellie, who manages the Gallery at Loch an Eilein and is also a member of Creative Cairngorms.
