A return visit here for us and it did not disappoint. We had another deliciously faultless lunch, All food is fresh, homemade and very tasty. Make sure you leave room for a cake as we did, rocky road, according to three people in the party of four claimed it was the best they had tasted and the spiced orange cake completely hit the spot. We had to wait a little for a table so next time we plan to phone ahead and reserve one.

Oh Pam we’re so pleased to have been able to meet expectations for your return visit to our cosy cafe, not to mention more than a little relieved, what with it being very busy on Saturday. So glad you enjoyed your lunches and had time to fit some sweet treats in - I’ve been begging that cake wizard of a wife of mine to put Double Deckers in something, just anything, for ages! 😄 And the spiced orange drizzle was our gluten-free bake of the day so it’s pleasing to know that was also up to scratch. We look forward to welcoming you back and don’t hesitate to get in touch so we can put a table aside for you.. in the meantime you can follow us on the various social media platforms to see our daily posts revealing what we’ve cooked & baked!

Can’t rate this special place too highly! If you are planning a visit, booking is advised as it has now become so popular with the locals.
Delicious food available as always..... check out the daily posts (even for take away ) but what is remarkable is the owners Pete and Anne’s efforts to stretch themselves, in providing new and tasty food/home baking in the tiniest of work places. All the while with such a welcoming and genuine caring attitude to their customers. They take nothing for granted in a competitive market.
They are proud of their business venture, now in its 5th year, and deserve every credit for building up a loyal and very large customer base.

When we get home at the end of another twelve hour day with aching bones & limbs there really is nothing better than receiving lovely words of solidarity like this. Your support over the years means SO much and the fact you refer to us by first name means absolutely everything - we genuinely value the connection with our visitors and it inspires us to carry on.
And you’re quite right, reserving a table is advisable most lunch times... something we would never have believed when we opened this tiny, tucked away little place you all now call your regular place for a chat and a bit to eat.. look how highly you have placed us on these rankings. Thank you, really. 🥰

This is more than just a cafe! It’s a local lifesaver. Got me through the whole of lockdown (we were regulars b4 then ) with its imaginative, wholesome and lovingly prepared and baked soups, sandwiches and cakes. It’s such a quirky homely cafe to sit in too and if you go b careful as you’ll b hooked forever. Had one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever tasted from here, the soup is outstanding and the cakes mouth watering and imaginative. The variety is awesome. My youngest daughter loves the brownies especially ! The welcome you get from Pete and Anne is just fantastic and I know they look after a lot of the older community and treat them like family. Every local community should have a cafe like this! Spreading a little magic.

Wow. You’ve left us a little bit speechless with this one.. how humbling to be on the receiving end of such heartfelt words. And we know it might sound a bit cheesy but to hear we bring a little bit of joy to the community along with all the food.. well, that’s the kind of job satisfaction we were never taught existed. Had a lovely lunch today with my friend and my two young children.
I had the toasted bagel with lorne sausage, applewood smoked cheese and caramelised onion chutney and it was absolutely delicious. We then had coffee and cake. I had the caramel brownie OMG it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and welcoming will defo go back

This is lovely Melissa! Reckon there were a few sideways glances when we chose to take the sacred lorne sausage and stick it in a bagel with some fancy cheese & chutney but it’s a firm favourite around our way now. As for the brownies, yeah, can’t argue with that.. my good wife churns out gooey chocolate heaven on a regular basis. SO glad you enjoyed your visit to our hidden little treasure trove of goodies and that we were able to make you feel at home! 🥰

Found this place by chance, we shared the vegetarian haggis and sweet potato toastie (amazing) and the crustless quiche straight from the oven (gorgeous) and gave into temptation to have the iced ginger cake and a perfectly made double espresso. The owner carefully selects the background music - we could have stayed all day (The Cure, Siouxsie & the Banshees and the Smiths featured on our visit). A wonderfully homely place to which we will return.

This wee place on the South side of Glasgow is a wee cracker, friendly place and the amazing couple who run this welcome everyone. The food is amazing and there is plenty of choice between soups, stews and various baguettes with salad. But you cant leave without having a cake and coffee to finish off your visit.
There is also good background music to listen if you like to sit and relax and watch the world go by.

Total admiration to see how Soup's On have shifted their business this year. A wee gem in Cathcart and they have been a total local saviour during lockdown. Every week they make and bake excellent treats; flavourful, moreish and their Frito Pie was a meld of genius.

Oh Jodes.. this is lovely. From the outside it may seem like we’re taking things a little easier with our new limited service but sitting down after a couple of thirteen hour shifts on the bounce to find these kind words is genuinely heart warming. First visit today after a google search of Top 10 tea rooms in my localism area. I ordered a cherry cake which was unbelievably good. Possibly one of the best cakes I’ve tasted. After eating it all I was told it was Gluten Free which I couldn’t believe. Hubby had a coconut Brownie which was also very good. Definitely worth a visit. Great service too.

Booked a table by email and we were welcomed by a copy of the menu for the day of our visit. Too many lovely things to choose from, great food, soup and amazing cakes.
On the day of our visit we were not disappointed lovely table, we were sitting beside regulars and newbies like us. The cafe also does a busy takeaway service many of their customers are well known to the owners - get in early to ensure your choice of cake - they sell out fast! Such a positive visit so worth a car trip of an hour and a half and we will be back soon with friends.

Whenever we are in the area we always try to pop into "soups on2, the food is always amazing. Scones are my go to, and the toasties are well filled and hearty.
I have never had a bad experience and my recent visit proves no different.
I decided to surprise my wife and have a birthday lunch here to conclude the pre birthday shenanigans from the day before, and as always the food and cake were top notch.
Pete and Anne super helpful so much so that when I booked the table and on realising it was for a birthday lunch asked me questions I would never thought off asking such as what my wife's favourite cake was and took the time to ensure that my wife had a Victoria sponge for her birthday =)
For lunch I ordered the "Cuban-oh", my wife "the roast on toast" and my daughter "the cheese board", all were excellent.
Big thanks to Pete and Anne for ensuring that we capped off birthday celebrations with full and satisfied bellies.

You know you've made a great pot of soup when your kids tell you your soup is nearly as good as Soup's On soup! We're so lucky to have this gem of a cafe just around the corner from us. We are regular takeaway customers treating ourselves to Anne's fabulous cakes (fresh, homemade, delicious cakes with gluten free and vegan options) or Pete's hearty soups or stews. I'd highly recommend.

My family and I always go to this little lunch spot (in fact sometimes twice in one weekend) whether it’s for soup and paninis or to indulge in the delicious cakes. It is truly a fabulous place to eat. Pete and Anne are so lovely and welcoming. As a veggie it’s hard to come across places that do different types of sandwiches etc but Pete’s creations every week are amazing and Anne’s baking is to die for. There is something on the menu for everyone whether you're after something sweet or savoury. I can't recommend highly enough. Favourite cafe in Glasgow!

What a place, simple menu with a soup and stew that changes daily, done to an amazing standard.
If that were not enough you then have a fantastic selection of home baked cake and scones to decide between.
Great selection for vegetarians and vegans as well.

After yet another amazing meal from Soups’s On I feel compelled to finally write a review. Been my staple almost every Friday since the first lockdown. Everything is delicious, soups, stews, and the best brownies I’ve ever tasted. And trust me, I’ve had a lot! Great value and really friendly service. What’s not to like?

The wonderful and inventive people at Soup’s On have delivered a rather fantastic opportunity by diversifying into the evening market! We were lucky enough to be offered a table at the second evening event and were so overwhelmed by the excellent menu and equally amazing service from Anne and Pete. The atmosphere was relaxed but the quality of the food ( and portion size!) was just brilliant!
