We got there at about 5 pm asked for a table and were told ok as long as we were out for 6-30 possibly due to Mothers day rush. It is NOT a run of the mill curry house as I and other customers were used to. It appears it is more for the discerning eclectic eater of curried dishes... More

Have always wanted to try this restaurant due to great reviews. First off I found the staff very pushy. Pushing us to order drinks then pushy on ordering mains. We where in and out within 20 minutes- could have had more of an evening ordering take outs. Also, the chicken tikka was quite dry but had no one to tell... More

I asked for no spice in my dish and my mouth was on fire. In addition I felt the waiter was laughing at me for that. I am sure it is good food if you can handle spicy dish.

This isn't about the restaurant; this about my 'Mum(bai)! This is for my Mum on Mother's Day! Dorothy is the best and does amazing things on a 'Delhi' basis. My Mum and the restaurant have a few things in 'Korna'n: she's always cooked me dinner, she always gave me money when I needed it and makes great pakora! And if... More

We visited this restaurant recently and must say the food is authentically delicious. Butter chicken is a must try. The food is tapas style and the portion size is generous. The menu is varied to suit everyone. Service was ok and not to the standards what we are used to. The place is really busy and unfortunately they don't have... More

Slighlty confused by the multiple take-away menus on the site but got there in the end! Everything was generous with a fresh punch of spices and herbs - no two dishes tasted the same which can so often be the case with more basic take-aways.

My wife and I were staying over in Glasgow for the night attending a concert and called into Mother India before the gig. We had no idea what to expect but did notice the menu was a contemporary take on Indian cuisine, rather than your standard madras and chat offer. The restaurant is on the first floor and you reach... Looking through the reviews, I don't get the fascination. It's a good Indian restaurant, no argument. Butter chicken was yum, and the naan was absolutely delicious. But not noticeably better than any Indian restaurant that takes itself seriously. I enjoyed my food (though I wound up at the loo a lot, following lunch there on Saturday). The tapas idea is... We visited here at lunch time and although not busy we were seated on a postage stamp of a table when there were lots of larger tables available. The advice was to choose 3-4 tapas between two. Good luck if you end up on one of those tables as you have nowhere to put anything! We ended up choosing 7... More

Always a queue outside even in the rain and the cold. This means only one thing. Great food and great value. The menus seldom changes but that's only because it's delicious delicious Indian food your Indian mother would make if of course your mother is India. Unfortunately mines Irish but she's tries bless. This is a place locals go to... More
