About
Di Maggio’s Theatreland is located on West Nile Street, opposite the Royal Concert Hall and moments walk from several of Glasgow’s main theatres and cinemas. Like the other Di Maggio’s in Glasgow and beyond, it is very family-friendly, but its chic contemporary styling, expanses of glass and bustling atmosphere lend it a more adult tone. Located opposite Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall and a matter of moments walk from many of Glasgow’s main theatres and cinemas, Di Maggio’s Theatreland is a magnet for both audience members and performers, looking for a quick pre-theatre bite to eat or post-show wind down. Efficient and friendly service, tasty food and great price for pre theatre dinner. Seated immediately and order taken and delivered promptly. Would definitely visit again.

Dropped into restaurant on a typically dreadful wet, windy and bitterly cold Saturday afternoon in Glasgow. Warm welcome by staff into the equally warm eating house. Good food - I had a nice pasta dish for main course, which was warm, tasteful and reasonably priced....Ill be back.More

Unfortunately, having given Di Maggio's the benefit of the doubt on two previous ocassions, we stupidly dined at this location once more - why, we'll never really know. Well, we do know - it was the only place nnearby which was not fully booked. I...now know why...... The serving staff were good at there jobs, very potite, attentitive and caring for the patrons. The 'team leaders' checking the food about to be served need training / retraining, and the 'chef's' need to be trained in how to cook Italian food. Having dined at many other UK located Italian food restaurants / outlets accross the length and breadth of our nation, having dined at Italian restaurants globally with great delight, and visited Italy on many ocassions, both on business and pleasure we have a very good sense of what is right and acceptable Italian cooking, and what is not acceptable. Soggy based cold served pizzas are not acceptable, neither is tasteless 'food' which was bordering on 'inedible'. it's a real shame, as this restaurant has so much potential - and located in a prime city centre spot. All their competitors are fully booked out but Di Maggio's remaind half full on a Saturday evening - that says an awful lot...... Good bye Di Maggio's - we wil book a table at one of your many fine competitors next time.More

Went for Pre-theatre Dinner.before a show at the Royal Concert Hall. Service was prompt and friendly. My wife and I were very happy with both courses we had. We had a reasonable bottle of wine at a decent price. Restaurant was busy which was little...wonder given its' central location and the quality of the food. We booked in advance I would expect that it would be necessary to book especially at weekend. We will go here again when in Glasgow and would recommend it.More

Ate here before heading off to the Theatre Royal. The pre-theatre menu was great and good value. Our meals were tasty and filling. The restaurant was really busy and I would certainly recommend booking in advance for a Saturday night, especially if you are on...a time schedule. The staff were really lovely, and although busy took their time at each table to make sure everything was good and customers happy. Definitely recommend the restaurant if you are in Glasgow and especially for a pre-theatre mealMore

We come to this restaurant with our young children all the time and can't fault it. Always a warm welcome, colouring for the kids and fresh food served quickly. You won't be disappointed.

The rib starter was lovely, sweet and tender. The Arancini sounded amazing but was bland and tasteless. The lasagne was gloopy, dry and like a house brick. Couldnt taste any meat - the meat balls were worse. Do not get a pasta dish from here...it is not worth the moneyMore

We booked our table for half 12 in advance as my parents were travelling from up north for the day for my mums birthday. No problem on arrival...we were shown to our seats quickly. Our drinks order was taken and given to us within 10...mins. We all opted for 2 course lunch I think came to under £10. Myself and my father ordered the same chicken chorizo pasta dish for mains. Our starters arrived fairly quickly and I opted for the bruschetta... the first few bites it was fine but then it was a soggy slice of bread with ice cold tomatoes dolloped on top so I think that’s what made the bread soggy fairly quickly? Who knows... anyway our mains arrived and i was presented the pasta carbonara so I raised this with the waitress and she looked at me as if I had lied so I hate making a further fuss so I accepted the dish. It was tasty none the less... My main issue throughout my 3rd experience here was where we was sitting. It’s right next to where the waitresses/waiters gather to scan the restaurant so it was off putting like we was being watched through out our whole meal... the feeling of someone peering over your shoulder. Not good... I would go back as I said the pasta was fine and my other 2 experiences were great I am just gutted about my soggy bruschetta/wrong pasta and being watched through out my lunch! My mum given it was her birthday loved it and enjoyed the red berry cheesecake!More

We booked in advance and I would recommend that you should - especially if want to eat between 5pm and 8pm. It’s a small restaurant - a lot smaller than other branches of this chain where I have eaten. We were shown to our table...promptly and they took our order very efficiently. We didn’t really see our server after that (food was brought by different staff) and eventually we asked for the bill whereas we may have had a dessert or coffee had we been asked earlier. Otherwise the food was good with generous portion sizes and reasonably priced.More

I don't know the answer to this but I'm almost certain they can cater for gluten free. If you phone the restaurant prior to your visit I'm sure they would advise but most places in Glasgow can cater for gluten free customers.

I would book as the venue can get very busy depending on what's on at the local theatres and cinema
