Such a shame the prices are totally over the top because the staff are brilliant. Sorry but when you order a baguette you expect something larger than roll you would normally associate as a side for a bowl of soup especially when you are paying £7 for it! SERIOUSLY. if you are looking for value for money then avoid this... More

I visited here once again whilst on business, and considering I arrived late it was ideal. Great menu and well cooked just ask the chef to clean the plate before serving ( that's my only niggle). Great service and just the right amount of attention from the waitress. Looking forward to eating here tomorrow evening.

My parents had visited this restaurant before and had been impressed but not yesterday. We had to wait ages for menus to come to the table, in fact we had to wait for everything. We had our children with us (ages 2 and 8) and their food was brought out after all the adult meals (not a good idea!). Always... More

French lovers and having a day trip to the passport office, we found ourselves looking for a bite to eat.. and Voila La Bonne Auberge appeared right in front of our eyes. We love the whole French experience. Although it stated call to book at around 13.30 there was no need. The revolving doors were a nice touch and we... More

Very slow service. Asked for jug of water. It lay on the bar for 10 mins before being delivered to table. Soup was good. Fish was over cooked and not very hot. Tables too close to each other. Heard everyone's conversation. Won't be back

Have dine here a number of years ago but the restaurant appeared brighter and had a warming relaxed ambience. We went for the two course menu. I had carrot and orange soup lovely warming bowl of soup served with warm bread roll and butter, my husband went with chicken liver pate served with toast and a very delicious chutney. My... More

Stumbled across this when I needed to kill time after a passport renewal. As I'm a celiac with various other dietary restrictions I had not expected to find anywhere where I could eat the food. They were nice, attentive, informative about the food and managed to give me a three course meal. Carrot soup with gluten, wheat and corn free... More

My wife Mary and I have just returned after a five night stay at the Holiday Inn, Theatreland Glasgow. Whilst staying there we dined and breakfasted in La Bonne Auberge. We thoroughly enjoyed all meals and as fellow contributor says the service of Stuart at the bar was very welcoming. Another I feel I must mention is Callum who let... More

The original La Bonne Auberge first opened its doors on Bastille Day in 1975, and it's had something to celebrate ever since. Glasgow's first French-Mediterranean brasserie and Bar, this smart restaurant with its aproned waiters and blackboard menus now has an AA Rosette to confirm what the locals have known all along. Set in the fashionable Theatreland district, this is a feast of Riviera cuisine.
