Yeh so it was awful. I didn't get a starter despite being starving in hopes to save my macros for what was promised to be a delightful main. I got the halibut which was £18 and I swear on my life...there was approx 7.5g of halibut on my plate. It was COVERED in what looked like spiralized white cabbage...so I... More

Started with a pre dinner drink in the busy buzzy bar then through to the very elegant dining room for some grub! Very tasty scallop starter, good job it tasted good as £10.50 for 1 big scallop is pretty pricey! Delicious ribs with parsnips! Fries were fab too! Great service, even in December!

On a Monday night we expect a restaurant to be relatively quiet and the benefit would be fast and attentive service. Unfortunately, despite the restaurant being quiet, we did not experience that level of service from this upmarket brasserie. On several occasions I needed to prompt the waiting staff to get us drinks. No doubt we will go again for... More

A welcomed change to your typical bar and grill venue in Glasgow. This was my second visit in the last 2 months and both times I have been treated to great food, impeccable service and left having thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I appreciate you cannot please everybody but I'll defiantly be back again.

It had been ages since my friends and l had been to the Malmaison, so we thought it was time to go back for some food and cocktails. This place has always been fantastic for food and this visit did not disappoint, it was business as usual with fresh seafood having top billing and staff being efficient, helpful and charming.... Malmaison is such a big name in the city hotel/restaurant line & Martin Wishart is such a big name in the chef world that I assumed we would be in expert hands & have a delicious meal. We have been twice now within the past few months & sadly have been really disappointed on both occasions. Our first meal was... More

Had dinner and drinks here with colleagues. Was very impressed with the food but was the standard you come to expect from Malmaison. We were lucky to have a very knowledgeable gentleman serve us, he knew every cocktail inside out with a particular in depth knwoledge of rum, needless to say we ended up rather tipsy but had a great... I visited Malmaison for dinner. The staff were solicitous and a bit eager to provide us with information on the specials. The Maitre d was helpful over the wine choice. As a non meat eater I had plenty of choice and opted for the Crab & Confit Salmon Marie Rose as a starter followed by the Hand Rolled Tagliatelli Roasted... More

Description
"In the lively, bohemian Port of Leith, Malmaison Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The highly chic Art Nouveau French brasserie has sleek, stylish decor and actual port views. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef, Roy Brett has overall direction.

What's cooking? Inspiration is taken from great 'French brasserie-style dishes' and further enhanced with a unique contemporary twist. Dishes include char-grilled ribeye with cafe de paris butter and fine beans and salmon fishcake with parsley sauce and buttered spinach. For those of you with a sweet tooth, be sure to try the tarte tartin with creme chantilly.
