After numerous visits to Mother India’s Cafe, we were looking forward to eating here. The service was efficient but perfunctory. The experience would have been improved by a more welcoming waiter. The food was tasty but not in any way memorable.

Had an absolutely delightful meal here in November. It's quite cosy, the next tables are really close, but the food is outstanding. I'll be back.

My husband and i have dined in Mother India for the last 20 years, we do buy carry out most weekends, I'm afraid it isn't the same i think it depends on the chef. We have had good and bad some weekends. Very disappointed.

Visited Mother India with friend who had last eaten there over 20 years ago. Everything was as fabulous as she remembered, if not better. We loved the food (especially tending to our dietary requirements), the ambience and the whole experience. The Thalli option was great...More

In another league when it comes to flavour. Aromatic and intense flavours and the dishes were superb quality.

I didn't know it ever was! First time visit and they had an extensive drinks menu including wine. Didn't notice any corkage details on the menu. I would recommend you go direct to them to check in case I missed it.

Not sure if it's BYO because we went for lunch but I'm sure it's just a matter of a phone call to ask :-)

OPENED IN THE WEST END OF GLASGOW IN 1996 MOTHER INDIA HAS ESTABLISHED ITSELF AS AN ONGOING FAVOURITE WITH GLASGOW'S DISCERNING DINERS. We have 3 floors each of which has its own distinctive ambience. The ground floor is the smallest and cosiest, with its own bar and street view. It's perfect for those who like to watch the world go by whilst enjoying their meal. Move upstairs and you enter a different environment, almost Dickensian with its emphasis on rich wood panelling and views through the leaded square windows. Downstairs we have most recently added the Cellar. With a quieter, theatre lit feel it's aimed at those who love a sense of privacy and intimacy. Above all, however, Mother India is aimed at satisfying you. Our staff will endeavour to ensure that you relax and enjoy your experience whilst our team in the kitchens will do their utmost to provide you with the freshest, most wholesome Indian dishes we can create. WE ALL LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU SOON.
