Ate with several friends here for a leaving work celebration. When I booked it for 19 people I specifically asked for something mild to be available. Again when I called a few days before to confirm the booking I reminded them that there were 4 people who did not eat spicy food and was assured this was not a problem.... More

Been here many times - good location, good service, great atmosphere and fantastic food. Mother India is a Glasgow institution and easily once of the best Indian restaurants in the city.

A real jewel in Glasgow. Wonderfully dramatic setting near the centre of Glasgow and exceptionally good cuisine. Intriguing menu but with highly attentive and knowledgeable staff to help. Altogether an unique dining experience

Easter Day late lunch. Really looking forward to a special treat. Excellent chicken pakora and dosa to start BUT Chilli Garlic Chicken tasted of nothing but salt and the Dahl was simply not to my taste being a strange tasting grey creamy mush. When the waiter came to clear the table, including the largely uneaten chicken, he was not in... More

I genuinely don't get either the good reviews on here, nor the fact that several friends in West End said it was the best place to eat in Glasgow. The service was appalling. It was ok once we got their attention, but it was *really* difficult to get that attention. Like 15 minutes to get them to clear the table... More

Mother India had been highly recommended so we were looking forward to our visit. The food we had was indeed excellent, except that there was not much choice for the only vegetarian in our party. I had the chicken and spinach and others had lamb in broccoli and chicken tikka - all excellent. The portions are huge and I would... More

We were there for lunch, they didn't give us all the menu cards(so, we were unable to order few of our favourite foods with better value options)and it was give to the ppl on the next table. Pricing is also very different. 2 different prices for the same dish at same time of the day.. Fish pakoda was under cooked... More

The tapas style Indian is the best way. Lots of dishes to try and none too big. Some of the usual favourites and lots of different things to taste for the first time.

First visit to Glasgow institution took us up some tenement stairs into a vintage dining room. While the crab dosa was fine, the spicy and substantial haddock fillet with roasted tomatoes and peas delivered. It showed technical skill, and an aromatic and subtle flavour. This really brought the dish to life. It was also partially reflected in our shared main... More

Remember to book ahead or you simply won't get in . Now that speaks for its self . Treat yourself to a very tasty meal you certainly will... More
