The restaurant was recommended by the taxi driver on our way from the airport. I'm glad we followed his advice! We were three people around the table. The menu had some very good/delicate choices and we all had different dishes. All of us were very...More

We had a really good meal at Mother India. We ordered too much food. Be aware that each entree will easily serve two, especially if you add naan and rice.

Do not come to Mother India and expect to be given a menu that lists the usual suspects of "bhuna, korma, tikka masala and madras". Instead, the menu offers a relatively small selection of starter and main courses, some traditional and some more modern takes...More

Food was overwhelmingly delicious. Service was spectacular. The naan was the best we had ever tasted.

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening out for dinner at Mother India. Food was delicious and we were all well taken care of during our meal. Staff were attentive but not overly so and looked after us all very well.

We had a selection of dishes, and each one was to die for. A must try for indian food lovers. We had the butter chicken, dal, fish pakora, nans, and the beef knuckle for two.

This was a return visit some ten years since last. However, the food and service is still as good. The menu is small and the food is of the highest order.

Recommended by trip advisor and some local friends we booked for an evening meal on line via an app. Nice atmosphere in a lovely building building. It was only a small menu with not a lot of choice and so different. Bit on pricy side...More

Four of us visited after a conference. Tripadvisor reviews suggested a good place to eat. The reviews were spot on. Not an extensive menu, but the dishes on offer were exceptional. I had a spicy Haddock starter and Delhi Lamb for main course. Huge naan...More

I didn't know it ever was! First time visit and they had an extensive drinks menu including wine. Didn't notice any corkage details on the menu. I would recommend you go direct to them to check in case I missed it.

Description
OPENED IN THE WEST END OF GLASGOW IN 1996 MOTHER INDIA HAS ESTABLISHED ITSELF AS AN ONGOING FAVOURITE WITH GLASGOW'S DISCERNING DINERS. We have 3 floors each of which has its own distinctive ambience. The ground floor is the smallest and cosiest, with its own bar and street view. It's perfect for those who like to watch the world go by whilst enjoying their meal. Move upstairs and you enter a different environment, almost Dickensian with its emphasis on rich wood panelling and views through the leaded square windows. Downstairs we have most recently added the Cellar. With a quieter, theatre lit feel it's aimed at those who love a sense of privacy and intimacy. Above all, however, Mother India is aimed at satisfying you. Our staff will endeavour to ensure that you relax and enjoy your experience whilst our team in the kitchens will do their utmost to provide you with the freshest, most wholesome Indian dishes we can create. WE ALL LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU SOON.
