Nice pub.

Visited this pub a few times now over the last 6 months. Bar staff are always really friendly and welcoming. They’re helpful with setting the electronic darts board up too. Food has always been nice when we’ve ordered it, the spicy chicken wings being a highlight. Only downside to our visit yesterday was that the price of playing on the electronic dart board has increased to £15 for 90 minutes. Feels a little on the steep side, as it was £10 just a couple of months back.

Excellent service

Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. I never caught staff members name but he kindly helped me with my buggy and offered a high chair for my baby so thank you. Small gestures go along way as i had just been told i was not allowed to enter Walkabout with my pram. The venue is very clean with good facilites. I had fish tacos and they were really good and will definetly be back. Only critism would be the prices as i feel £20 is quite expensive for a burger.

Decent Food and Good Beer Choices

This places specialises in pub grub food and does it very well and a t very reasonable prices. I went for food that was a wee bit spicy for my delicate palate. My wife was more fortunate and chose well. Really good food but just be careful unless you are into spicy food

Wouldn’t rush back

Haven’t been in a couple of years and wouldn’t rush back. Ordered the “meaty” ribs main and only got four ribs which had more fat than meat on them. When the waiter took our order he didn’t write anything down and tried to do it from memory. As he left me and my partner commented how it was a guarantee he would forget something. The mains came without the side of top loaded chips which eventually came 10 minutes after we started eating. When the bill came the waiter said the amount with the card machine but I didn’t even get the chance to see the bill to check it. Very disappointing experience given what it used to be like. Better similar style restaurants in Glasgow.

Good atmosphere and dog friendly.

Chose this place as dog was allowed in and we wanted to watch football. Got a great high top and settled in. The service was very good and the beer was cold and flowing. We stayed a while and had some food and only criticism would be £9 for the chicken tenders starter that was only 3 tenders which I thought was a bit pricey to be honest. Other had macaroni cheese which was lovely. Great central location and buzz about the place with folk coming and going all day.

Great sharing food

Anyone who likes a munchi box, this is next level. Home made all great tasting and gets washed down well with a beer or 2. Only tried the munchi box and shared with a fiew friends but you can tell this wasn't your average munchi box filled full of freezer muck. These guys have taken the concept and elevated this to a new level. Modern, stylish and very tasty. Plenty of craft beer also 🍻

A Sunday Sizzler with a Bang!

Yesterday my wife and I along with friends attended this pub for dinner. It was very busy with clients watching the football. Staff were attentive and the menu was your typical easy to make Burgers, Taco's etc We opted for some sharers to start, Bang Bang Chicken which certainly had a bang to it! Halloumi Fries and Haggis and Black Pudding Fritters. For mains we opted for the Bacon Cheeseburger and the Virginia Burgers all came well presented and tasty. Worth a visit if you just want a plain meal with taste but affordable.

A Quick Drink

Popped in here for a couple of drinks before dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I was doing dry January so asked about mocktails and got given this delicious pineapple and coconut one. The beers that were had were delicious and the cider was good too. I would recommend if you want somewhere nice to have a drink. The food menu looked great too!

Great drinks and food!

Went to The Raven last night for a few pints and food with some friends and it was top notch! We got The Mother Clucker, the pulled pork & maple bacon mac n cheese and the sloppy joe and it was all excellent! Really fresh tasting! Service was great, very attentive and food and drink arrived very quickly which was great given that only table service is allowed due to the circumstances and the staff must have been so busy! The Raven has excellent social distancing in motion with a one way system too and the staff were all wearing face masks and making sure everything was clean. A lot of places I’ve been for a drink recently since the easing of the lockdown have been really strict and not a great vibe but The Raven was really chill whilst also following the rules. Will definitely be back!

Poor nachos

Very disappointed at the nachos tonight. Bought large nachos with beef. The chilli beef was cold and there was a watery base around the nachos making them soft. When the waiter came and asked if everything was OK? I said no it was very cold. He never came back with any response from the kitchen ,even though he picked up glasses from our table.

Bad attitude and a long wait

Had a really bad time here unfortunately, the drinks took a longtime to make (20 minutes for a basic cocktail). We then played the pub quiz, the three winning teams were refused their prizes as they could not be used that evening (all three winners were not from Glasgow and were not able to collect the prize). This was disputed and the manager could not show anything to imply that in the terms and conditions that is stated. After the dispute we were refused any more service and were sent on our way (as well as the other winners of the quiz) we personally will not be returning as think this shows the type of company this is. Is is a shame as the place has potential but would not recommend for anyone

Faultless Pub Grub …..

Visited this place off the back of a recommendation and i’m now a massive fan! This was by far the highlight of the night (apart from The Chemical Brothers obviously), owing it’s success to the food in particular. First and foremost, especially on a Thursday - Sunday evening, book a table via the website, like I did. It was heaving from 5pm onwards and didn’t really quieten down. Very much a Sports Bar, it had an array of Darts Ocheys, many television screens showing various Football games and it was spread over the space of two floors. If I remember right, it was Dog friendly as well. The selection on the menu was decent but I was always swaying towards a Burger of some sort. In the end, I opted for the Smokehouse Burger with a side of Dill Pickle & Jalapeño Slaw. Everything was spot on and the Fries, in particular, were top level! The Cold Town Lager, at only £4.20 a pint, was the perfect accompaniment. Although not advertised, our meal even fell under a Thursday night deal, so the bill was a lovely surprise as well. The staff were great, the seats were bang in the middle of prime Football viewing and the atmosphere was lively, but not hectic. No faults from me and I’m already planning another visit for my next gig. Premier League eating out in Glasgow!

Just by chance

Popped in here just by chance as we had missed our bus. Friendly staff, quick and efficient service and Covid safe. We had beers and delicious nachos. We were asked about any food allergies which was good. Along with our cutlery came individually wrapped generous sized hand wipes. A very nice touch especially in Covid times. Menu was on a QR code thingy but luckily we didn’t have to order through that and order was taken at table. It was daytime and music was not too loud. Football was shown on screens. All good.

Don’t go to the quiz

A group of my friends won the quiz and received the £50 voucher - was unable to use on the night with friends from outside of Glasgow asked to see the policy on voucher was unable to provide reasons for why we couldn’t use it. Ruined the whole experience and clearly can’t behave in a professional manner. Went elsewhere and gave to the staff there to enjoy. Made an experience with friends a negative from a great quiz. The lack of professionalism made it difficult to even communicate. There are so many other quizzes in Glasgow in better venues and prizes that you can enjoy. Don’t go is my main urge.

Only couple in the dinning section but it was a Monday. Was shown to our table and guy said he'd be back to take our order for drinks and food, don't know if he had finished his shift or not as never seen him again, waited nearly 10 mins and had to go to bar to order drinks ourselves, waited another 5 mins and had to catch the attention of a girl to take our food order she was very pleasant and chatty and to be fair so we're the rest of the staff. Food was nice. I would go back again but probably on a different day just for the atmospheric feel.
