Hubby & I decided to try Cubatas tonight The restaurant is definitely a Spanish feel about it, food was “alright” wasn’t great sadly. What really concerned me was that one of the gluten free items arrived with bread - after clearly stating that the order...was for gluten free. When challenged - it was quite rudely commented that it was bread which isn’t gluten free. When asked if everything was ok - we challenged again - what is quite disconcerting is while the staff are trying to please - they aren’t really listening to the issues. You can get gluten free bread - as as the lighting was very low it could easily have not been noticed. This could have had a serious consequences if eaten, for someone with a serious allergy. The highlights - the pate was lovely Would we go back - no Would we recommend- no Sad it has so much potentialMore

A quiet Thursday night but given a warm welcome. Unfortunately a few dishes on menu unavailable but what was available was absolutely delicious. Thoroughly recommend the mushroom croquettes, amazing!

We visited after a performance at the Hydro, the restaurant is only a 10 minutes walk. The service was good, the menu small but varied and the food was tasty. Would recommend.

It’s was ok, not great. I wouldn’t return but only because there are so many excellent restaurants in Glasgow. Limited menu. I would say it doesn’t live up to the reviews on here to be honest. For me at least.

Had a lovely night here last night with lovely waiting staff and tasty food. The cheese board was delicious as was the goat's cheese salad. Patatas bravas were a little too crisp for me but my mam enjoyed them so each to their own!

We had a great experience here at Cubatas this weekend. The atmosphere was inviting with lit candles and music playing. The staff were very friendly and the service was fast. We had a selection of tapas which were all great - highly recommend the garlic...and chilli prawns and we also really enjoyed the nice variety of cocktails! All in all a great evening and will be returningMore

Great reviews on TA so maybe our experience was unusual. Arrived 7pm on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. Staff were very nice (although interestingly none appeared to speak Spanish) and we were promptly taken to our table. Menu wasn’t as extensive as I...had hoped for so we ordered artisan bread and olive oil, seafood paella, chicken paella and vegetable paella. The bread was 3 slices, cut in halves, of an ok bread. All the paellas were pretty tasteless with very little added to them. Seafood paella had 4 prawns and 2 mussels. They were all quite stuck to the cast iron dishes. I had ordered a mojito (£10) which was extremely sweet. The server was pleasant and took it away to have another one remade without the shot of sugar, which was better. They make it with lemonade rather than soda water. Very little ambience. Just very disappointing unfortunately.More

This was a lovely surprise as it doesn't look too inviting from outside the restaurant, but walk through that front door and you are warmly welcomed by the staff, who are attentive during your meal. Quick service, we felt well looked after and well-fed too!

Came here on a Saturday night and I have to say it was the best tapas we have had in Glasgow. The food was to die for and I really enjoyed the empanada and lamb rack. The waitress was very friendly and accommodated our every...need. The cocktails were also very delicious !More

No dress code that we could see. I was in shorts and a T shirt, so somewhat underdressed compared to my wife. Without being disrespectful to the restaurant, it's not fine dining but boy the food is good. You won't be going... More
