My wife and I tried out an Itison voucher for this restaurant. The voucher entitled us to a glass of house wine a starter and a mains dish. My wife had the chicken pate and I had Chicken Wings in BBQ sauce. Both were very good indeed. For our mains my wife had a pasta dish (Penne Pollo e Peperoni) and I had Lasagne Al Forno. Again we were delighted with our choices. The service was second to none despite the fact that the restaurant was so busy. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has not tried it. We will of course be back!

I was recommended this restaurant by an Italian living in Glasgow which in itself is the best kind of referral this restaurant could ask for and we were not disappointed.
Saturday night it was very busy but we received first class service and the food was simply outstanding and all at a very reasonable price.
If in Glasgow and you want high quality italian food with first class service then this is must.

Tried Amore for a meal with our elderly parents - chose the restaurant based on reviews and am pleased to say Amore did not disappoint.
Attentive staff - particularly helping our parents - was noticeable and this combined with the super food and authentic atmosphere and music made the meal special for us and our sometimes hard to please parents. Thank you.

Fairly quiet, we had booked for 2.30pm but arrived early and were taken in right away, which was great! Temperature taken at the door, sanitise your hands first before going into the restaurant.
I had taken my oldest Granddaughter for a quiet lunch before a test she was taking on the day, to relax! Could not have been better, tables all partitioned off and hand sanitiser on every table. Toilets were spotless.
The food was excellent, I had Caesar Salad with Anchovies followed by Tiramisu, my Granddaughter had Penne Pasta with Arrabbiata Sauce, Garlic with mozzarella bread, followed by Hot Sticky Toffee Pudding and a Latte. Our lunch included a couple of soft drinks.
Great value for money at just under £30 for two
The service was superb, attentive without pestering you!
Well done, we will call again!

A local recommended that I go here and I am very happy I took the recommendation. The food was absolutely amazing & the service was some of the best I’ve had. The servers were incredibly attentive & knowledgeable and the food & drink were absolutely delicious.
I started with the Focaccia Aglio & Rosmarino (garlic & rosemary) which was £5.95. The focaccia was a drier and much thinner focaccia than I had previously had, almost similar to a dry pizza crust. It had a light butter coating and some Rosemary sprigs in the centre of it, which all grouped towards the centre when it was folded into the basket. It was served with balsamic vinegar & olive oil. The flavour combination was perfectly mixed (although the focaccia was on the drier side).
My main was the Paccheri Cacio Pepe e Porcini (“Large tubed Shaped pasta cooked in a Pecorino Cheese, Pepper & Creamy Porcini Sauce, troppo buono... at £10.95”). It was a rich & creamy pasta, with the perfect ratio of sauce to pasta. The sauce was thicker and had a good amount of mushrooms in it. The pepper added a nice kick to the dish, while perfectly placed along the edge of dish, to allow for moderation.
The server recommended a good white wine to pair with the pasta and they had a great drink selection, which was reasonably priced - as was the entire menu (especially for the portion sizes). The espresso martini (my “dessert”) had a great touch, with “Amore” stamped on top.
Much like a lot of older architecture, the restaurant was not as accessible… there was an elderly woman in front of me, who had a difficult time going up the stairs. The staff all had masks on (Covid precautions) & although busy, people were spaced out well.
I would absolutely recommend Amore to others & would go back again.

On a quiet Wednesday night, the 4 of us ordered a maincourse only, was served to us 40 minutes later. However, by that time we were onto our 2nd bottle of wine, funny how the wine flowed at £18.95 a bottle but the food didn't . No apology at all for the delay. The food arrived, I ordered the milanese with pasta. No garnish with the meal, just a dollop of pasta at one side and the meat at the other, at £16.95 you would think they would make it look good. Again, would you like more wine...service is not great, waiters look bored and disinterested. Would not recommend and would not return

This is my favroute restaurant in Glasgow, I normally eat in but decided to get a takeaway due to the nice weather, I called to make my order and the person on the phone seemed to be talking to me but also having a conversations with others too, this made ordering a nightmare and straight away I knew the order was going to be wrong. I explained I wanted a diavolo pizza and asked for spicy chicken to be added rather than pepperoni as I don’t like pepperoni the man then said this comes with chicken Which I thought was strange as I always get this pizza and it doesn’t and also the menu doesn’t say chicken, so order made after some time back and forward while he’s talking to others. I knew when I arrived there would be no chicken on the pizza, I then arrived get my two pizza and rest of my food I checked it and the pizza doesn’t have chicken on it and has pepperoni I then explained to him and he said I will fix I then waited 10 minutes for the pizza to be sorted again to which the rest of my food was then cold the time I got home, really disappointed as I knew from the conversation that it was going to be wrong, and the fact I travel to get this food then I get home and it’s cold apart from the fresh pizza, I expected better service from a great place, I would normally give 5 stars but after being let down and didn’t enjoy my food this time around !

We had the early evening menu so did 2 courses for £8.95 which had a great selection of menu items. I had the mozzarella cubes and vegetarian pizza and my husband had the jalapeno poppers and pepperoni pizza. The pizza's were huge and very filling. It was really good value for money.

A firm favourite of ours. Went here again for our first post-lockdown meal, not quite knowing what to expect with the new restrictions. Everything was impeccable! Had our temperature checked upon entering which provided much needed reassurance. The staff were so pleasant, helpful and accommodating, despite going about their duties wearing face coverings. The general ambience was lovely and the restaurant was absolutely pristine. The icing on the cake was the wonderful food and wine, which was the best ever in terms of quality and value. Absolutely love this place and cannot wait for our next visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another fantastic meal had bruschetta with prawns to start and bucatini pasta for mains. Proper guidelines followed with spacing , temp.checks and each table have their own sanitising bottle all in place BUT without losing the great family italian atmosphere providing fantastic service just like before , same warm charm and character of Amore that we all love and of course still serving the best quality italian food that doesnt stop delivering to its customers. Theres no other italian resturant i would consider or try .

We took our granddaughter to celebrate her birthday the food was it's excellent best as we have come to expect. 5 adults and a 3 year old the attention of the staff was great and a fuss was made of Charlie who loved the attention. The only grip I have is I was driving and was drinking draught soda water a Coke size glass was £2.55! The bill was near £200 and worth it for food and service but I feel the price of the soda water was over the top for a designated driver!

Had a great evening here last night. Very warm welcome. They let us drop a birthday cake earlier in the day, and also for us to leave gifts and the cake safely until this morning when we went to collect it.
Food was absolutely amazing as always and everybody in our party of 4 completely cleared their plates.
Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is fab. We had pinot with our dinner and you can tell it was a more expensive one but without the price tag mark ups you get in most restaurants.

On booking (it’s recommended) I was asked for my name, contact number and postal code for contact & trace
On entering we had our temperature taken and were asked to use the hand sanitiser supplied, we were then seated!!
Went for birthday lunch with my daughter! We ordered French Martini’s then ordered our food. We had half pizza and half pasta each, we were having difficulty deciding when the young server suggested half and half which worked wonderfully which meant we could still take advantage of the 2 course deal, my daughter had vanilla cheesecake and I had tiramisu. Everything was just perfect! The staff are attentive and Italian!! The food was superb
I would recommend this restaurant for families, couples and single people too, there was tables for all sizes of parties!
Great visit, will go back again

This is actually my favourite Italian in Glasgow. However for the first time last night I picked Fillet Steak. As Steaks go it was pretty bad. Usually the food and presentation here is excellent. Having ordered the most expensive thing on the menu I was given a Steak, overcooked chips and horrible steel pot with my sauce. No garnish, eg grilled tomato, mushroom, onion rings. Do I still like the place? Absolutely it's a great restaurant. Just think they could do a lot better. Very disappointed.

Had a fantastic meal at Amore on Monday.
Their early evening menu is a great deal anyway but was unbeatable with the Chancellor's discount (first time the Chancellor has done anything useful for me!).
I had Penne Amore - which was amazing as always - but the Risotto Monte Carlo and meatballs (Polpette) were great too.
In fact, everything is usually very good here, it's my favourite Italian restaurant in a city full of great Italian places.
Our waitress was very pleasant and they had some really stringent Covid measures in place, including a thermal temperature check at the door and screens between tables.
