I always pass Azzurro, therefore, decided to pop in one night for dinner. Upon entering the decor appeared tacky and the atmosphere was lacking. The food was mediocre, the pasta sauce tasted store-bought with nothing special. Service was average, perhaps the waitress was having a...bad day but came off to be cold and unwelcoming. The only saviour is perhaps their location is close to the Subway station and their decent prices. Will not be back and would not recommend.More

Staying at the Doubletree Hilton and food prices were extortionate so decide to take a walk across the road. Visited this Italian restaurant four years ago and oh my standards are still high. Service by Ruta was first class. So friendly and helpful. My partner...had tagliatelle Carbonara and I had Penne quattro staggio which was amazing. Good size portions so we didn't get to try to desserts. The place is spotlessly clean and nice and warm. Didn't wait long for food. Would definitely recommend it Nd will certainly be back!!More

This is a small restaurant. It’s just across the road from the Doubletree Hilton. Inside it probably hasn’t changed for about 20 years judging by the appearance, but that gave it some charm. Good bruschetta to start and my tagliatelle main was enjoyable to. It...feels like a family run place and made a nice change from the Italian chains. Service was fine throughout and food came quickly.More

Visited Azzurro with my fiancé a few weeks ago and we had to go back. The food was once again, delicious. I had the carbonara and my partner had a vegetarian lasagne - filled with spinach, basil and ricotta cheese, both were absolutely beautiful. The...hosting was pleasant and the atmosphere was cosy.More

I loved the intimate atmosphere of this cosy little eatery. It's decorated to resemble an Italian terrace where you'd spend your evenings chatting to your loved ones, while filling up on fresh homemade food. This lovely little restaurant did not Disappoint, the staff were attentive and...friendly. My food was authentic Italian rich and delicious.More

This restaurant is a little off the path but so glad we went inside, charming and very cosy. The staff and owner were more than delightful but the highlight of the trip would have to be the amazing food - I had the bruschetta to...start and carbonara as a main, both were absolutely delicious. The whole family enjoyed their meals and we ended on a beautiful note - with some dessert.More

I chose to eat here whilst staying in the double tree opposite and didnt want to pay hotel price for food. Its very convenient for that reason. It is an authentic italian restaurant but it did feel a little grubby and there was a musty...smell.. The food was nice although I went for quite a plain pasta dish.. the house wine was decent.More

Very impressed with both the staff and the food! I had the Carbonara and I loved it, definitely the best carbonara I’ve had. I will definitely be going back soon!

A very disappointing experience. Arrived at 5:45 for pre-theatre dinner and had to leave at 7:15 for the theatre without having our main meals. The minestrone soup was luke warm and not typical minestrone. The waiting staff were trying their best, but at least another...8 people were in the same situation as us - one table had arrived even earlier. Would not recommend for pre-theatre.More

We just walked in off the street and there were 3 or 4 tables vacant- no booking. However it was a very wet and windy Wednesday evening. I would think a couple of days before would suffice + I think you get free wine if... More

Sadly, the restaurant does not open on a Sunday. This is their only day off and is well deserved as they work so hard.
