Another lovely visit and superb feast at Koolba - thank you all!

We love everything about Koolba! The staff are all so friendly and genuinely care that customers are enjoying their food and having a nice time. You are always welcomed with big smiles and as locals, we love catching up with staff when we come back...in! Food is always really delicious and top quality. The raita is the best I have ever tasted! The poppadoms are light and crispy and vegatable pakora is so tasty. We always have chicken and king prawn dishes - huge pieces of lovely, lean, tender chicken and huge king prawns which as so meaty - delicious! Thank you so much, Koolba - we are already looking forward to our next visit! :-)More

Excellent restaurant

It was unplanned visit, we were walking around city centre and find out the restaurant.. amazing service from the cashier he was friendly with good spirit. We have our newborn boy on trolley so the space for the trolley was not problem in the shop....We order pakora as starter very testy and fast serving For the main dishes we order garlic curry Sipas with mushroom rice and Iranian kabab Ohhh I can’t forget the garlic curry sipas it was amazing and delicious with mushroom rice For the kabab it was fine we could not finish it because we were full from the garlic curry sipas i really appreciate the free tea it was goodMore

Land a bit chewy

Poppadom with dips were delicious as was chicken pakora starter however my lamb bhunna was not as tender as I hoped. Plenty of meat and tasty enough but found I was chewing too much which puts me off. Hubby had lamb in his South Indian...garlic chilli dish and felt his was ok. Nice flavours here in Candleriggs...

I had the 2 course £14.95 lunch and it was very nice. Flavours good and all nicely presented. Slightly disappointed with the pakora portion...for all it costs I think that a fourth piece wouldn't break their bank I would go back though as the flavours...were really nice and that veg pakora came with very good yoghurt dip. I'll say a solid 8.5 out of 10.More

Full of flavour

Fantastic Dinner and Atmosphere

Amazing food

I wanted the true Glasgow classic Chicken Masala curry. A friend recommended Koolba and she was bang on! I had a starter of Chicken Olivia. I had never had this before, it’s beyond subtle, creamy and lick the plate so good. The Chicken Masala was...so tasty, the subtle coconut milk carried the dish and the flavours of onions, garlic and perfectly done chicken made this the best I’ve ever had. The staff were warm and friendly, the service very prompt overall a great dining experience. So much so, I went back the next day for lunch to try another dish and see if they were consistent. No worries, they are! Once again I had the starter Chicken Olivia (I’m going to find a recipe for this!) and once again it was great! I asked for something different and spicy. I had Garlic Chili Chicken curry. For a relatively straight forward dish to make, this was one of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever had. The range of flavours was impressive and I wish I had the room for another serving. The staff at lunch were also very friendly, a big shout out to Adonis and Raheia. When I’m back in Glasgow I will be back to Koolba!More
