We dined early as a threesome and had the early deal which was fantastic value, the wine perhaps a little overpriced. The Cullen Skink starter was an authentic treat and all our main courses were delicious. We felt the menu offered plenty of choice with...More

Our hotel, Dakota Deluxe, recommended Two Fat Ladies, and we went there twice in two days. The interesting menu offered a variety of choices. The presentation of each dish was artistic and thoughtfully prepared with fresh herbs and fine sauces. We ordered from the 2-course...More

Quite a hike from city center, but well worth it. The skink soup was very good. Smoked fish was very forward, but not o overwhelming...reminiscent of a delicious potato-leek soup. Chicken with haggis/walnut crumble was devine. Do not miss the toffee cake desert. The shortcake...More

We loved every course from the entree to the huge desert tasting plate. The restaurant is small and interment but we didn't feel like we where sitting on top of the other customers. Our only criticism is that we felt the kitchen out shined the...More

We booked on a personal recommendation and had the a la carte menu. Our first impressions were very positive. The restaurant is quite small but well laid out with wooden partitions between some tables ito give some privacy from other diners. There were original paintings...More

I enjoyed a really great lunch at Two Fat Ladies. The location is small and cosy and the waiting staff are friendly and attentive. They have a very reasonable set menu where you can get three courses for £19.95, though I chose from the A...More

There are lots of good bars within a few minutes, most are the trendy type and serve good cocktails. The Griffin Bar is a little bit different, looks like an old pub but has a great range of Scottish Gins; worth a try!

My recollection is that it is a restaurant. No sun beds or balconies?

As I recall there are no steps up into the restaurant and I think the restroom is on the same floor, but you should check with the restaurant to be sure. Hope it works out for you - it's a great place with wondeful food.
