We dined there for lunch with the family on our daughter's visit home from Australia. The atmosphere is very olde world and cosy. Service is excellent with knowledgeable staff. Food is good and good value for money given the quality of the dining experience. We would visit again.

Don't be put off by the grey painted facade which makes this first class establish look closed or the fact that is is only a stones through from the dour underpass of the M8. Open the doors and you are transported into a cosy restaurant where both food and service are excellent. To start I opted for the Cullen Skink... More

We visited here for lunch for a belated birthday celebration for my husband. We ate from the lunch menu which was very nice indeed. The starters were a highlight, shredded chicken for my husband and mozzarella for me. Our mains were salmon and ham loin. All courses were delicious and tasty. We rounded off with desserts and ordered coffees which... More

We were wondering around looking for a place to eat that was not the same menu as everywhere else. After walking what seemed like miles we checked online and found Two Fat Ladies. We called and Adam said we he could get us in. We were not dissapointed. They have great food and know theilr wines and liquors. Oh and... More

This restaurant has everything, great atmosphere, delicious food, attentive staff and fine wines. The lighting sets the mood and takes away any potential worry about being very close to fellow diners! The pristine white tablecloths and the silver tableware let you know you are somewhere special. Oh, and the desert was unforgetable!

Outstanding meal. I had the Cullen Skink and it was awesome. This was my first time eating in Scotland so I wanted to try something local. Also had the Lemon Sole, off the bone, and that was spectacular. Lastly finished up with a Latte and that was made perfectly. A must go if in Glasgow.

The ambience is great and authentically Scottish, service is fine. We were part of a large group and this the experience was not up to the previous standard of a smaller table but it was reasonable. The starter was a tasty and well presented salmon roulade with a salad, the main chicken with pineapple, coconut rice and peppercorn sauce, it... More

Off to The Who at the Hydro and decided to have a bite to eat before hand. Tried to get into Shannon Bells but unfortunately it was fully booked. Thy suggested we try The Buttery upstairs. Luckily they had one table left. My son and I had the set menu. Not only was it reasonably priced for such a lovely... More

First time visit for Sunday lunch. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our table in the wood panelled and tartan carpeted dining room. Crisp white linen and EPNS cutlery set the bar high. It was like being transported to a country inn in Argyll in 1934! Staff were very friendly and attentive and the circle of comfort... More

As always, upon entering the restaurant, a lovely welcome from staff. We started our night off with a couple of cocktails - Cosmopolitans. For starter I had Grilled Goats Cheese and my husband had Scallops. Which were very tasty. For main course I had the grilled lemon sole with orange, tarragon and baby capers. My husband had Fillet of Peterhead... More
