I was here with work colleagues on Thursday evening and the dining experience from start to finish was excellent. I had the king prawns on garlic bread for starters, then the chicken stuffed with cheese, wrapped in Parma ham with mash potatoes. Both courses tasted lovely, I really enjoyed my food as did all of my colleagues. Service was great... More

Always worry when I see such great reviews and when I hear opinions from people whose taste in food I am not familiar with. Sorry for the mangled English, without doubt the team at La Lanterna do very good Italian. My wife and I enjoyed a delicious lunch , I went from the 3 course set menu and the dear... More

A superb choice of food from the very extensive a la carte menu. Comprehensive wine list and very friendly staff made our dining experience such great success. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is beautifully presented and is possibly the best Italian meal I have ever eaten. Do yourself a favour the next time you are visiting Glasgow and... More

You descend the steep staircase into what was previously a basement and step away from Scotland and into Italy in a moment. This is all about Italy - from the atmosphere to the food via the waiters. So don't expect to receive Scottish food or service. Don't expect tartan on the walls or on the floor. What you do get... More

The lasagne is by far the best I have ever tasted, but for us, the service let them down! The waitress did all she could to add £££s to the bill as we were on the early evening menu. She suggested garlic bread while we decided on what to order but brought out garlic bread and olives along with another... More

To celebrate a birthday we enjoyed a dinner iat La Laterna, turned out to be a good choice. Food was excellent, staff very friendly and helpfull. Could not find anything wrong. Only issue I would have is that if you are unlucky to be seated next to a large table of 8 people it can be rather loud...

I usually find myself in Glasgow 3 to 4 times a year and try to find a table at La Lanterna. There is something special that happens as you walk down the stairs into this wonderful restaurant. The waiting staff will welcome you, take your coat and already you know that you made the right choice. The atmosphere is intimate... More
