This was about my 3rd or 4th time here and yet another good experience there was only one foh member of staff on but that didn't retract from excellent and attentive service. I had the scallops starter with stornoway black pudding. They were perfectly cook and the accompanying sauce was well balance as well as flavoursome. For my main I... More

My wife and I went last night. Had a very nice meal. The place was quiet it being early Sunday evening. There were two members of staff in front of house. Both were very helpful and knowledgable about wine list and the menu. Will visit again.

We visited for lunch when the restaurant was very quite with just one other cover. We both opted for the lunch menu as there was a good selection of options at a great price. The food was very nice but the service was very disinterested. There was no smile or attempt at conversation, if anything it felt like we were... More

Recommended restaurant was not a disappointment. Service and food excellent. I chose the sea bass dish and lived up to expectation as it was beautifully presented and cooked.

Friendly service and tasty seafood. Recommend the fish and chips. The cullen skink - kind of like clam chowder - is delicious on a cold day. Lots of other seafood options on the menu as well.

Fabolous food for a reasonable price. The oysters were from Inverness and Absolutely a delight (better than Northern France!). The waiter was very kind and attentive. Can definitely recommend!

The food is top notch and the staff are friendly and efficient. A good atmosphere in a busy but generally relaxed restaurant. A bit expensive but worth it.

Went here for an early evening meal and opted for the pre theatre menu. All in all it was very good value for money. Fish curry could have done with a little more punch and cheese course wasn't special but everything else was great. Staff were friendly and chatty and the vibe was informal, a really nice atmosphere. Would like... More

Went to the takeaway at the side of Cafe Gandolf Fish but served by the same kitchen/chefs etc. Got fed up with going to Merchant Chippie round the corner and getting poor quality cod with soggy chips and being blanked by a grumpy chef when I complained so thought I would give Gandolfi Fish a try. Best cod supper I... More
