Looking for mood lifter in grey- literally and metaphorically-first days of January. Booked pre-theatre meal, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Husband particularly enjoyed fishcake starter and very chocolatey chocolate pithivier. As he likes red and I white wine , 2 glasses of each proved significantly dearer than one bottle. However, both red and white wines [red house wine, white Sauvignon] were v... More

We have just had lunch, what can I say outstanding, the food is amazing top quality at a very reasonable price. We all had the 3 course set menu and couldn't fault anything. Keep up the good work and looking forward to our next visit, thanks 😁

In the last month, I've had dinner here with friends several times. On every occasion, the food has been delicious. There is always a good atmosphere, even when it's quiet, and the staff are really friendly. The menu changes regularly so I'm never bored with the choice. Easily the best restaurant in the West End.

I had the treacle cured salmon starter and the oak smoked haddock main while there for dinner with my family and it was delicious and really nicely presented! Great selection of local craft beers as well! Everyone else I was with said the food was fantastic as well and it was all really affordable! Will definitely be back next time... More

Went here last night for my son's birthday dinner. Although 23rd December, no crackers and no Slade, which suited us just fine. I had the pigeon breast with goose liver and lentils, the ribeye and the lemon posset. All were perfectly cooked, beautifully presented , full of flavour and utterly delicious. Others in the party had the scallops, the monkfish... More

We went for Christmas Lunch with friends on Tuesday 15th Dec. We booked for 13:30. When we arrived the restaurant was very busy and had a good atmosphere. Our table was ready for us so we were seated straight away. We all chose from the Christmas Lunch Menu which offered a really good variety of food although, as you would... More

Went for my mums birthday and got the pre-theatre menu, 2 courses for £14.95/3 courses for £17.95. Everyone really enjoyed their food, and with 2 vegetarians that's not always easy! I had venison for my main which was just delicious, I'm always a little nervous about ordering red meat when out but this was cooked perfectly. Portion sizes were generous... More

Non-Christmas lunch options deserve a special mention in December. Sublime scallops ,treacle-smoked salmon and part-boned chicken breast all delivered. Pick of the bunch was the wickedly-decadent peanut butter brownie. Worth the price of admission alone. Although drink options were good, stovies did not appear to work with cod, while another slice of roast beef with proper gravy and more roast... More
