Friendly service with lots of novel vegetarian options. The spicy pear salad starter is VG & the whisky pannacotta is to die for.

We've visited about 10x now and we'll be back, however... It has become somewhat frantic in there on a weekend night. We get it, you're busy, you're trying to turn tables around, you're a business, etc. However... staff racing around (making mistakes dare I say...More

We visited here on Friday 11th May. We hadn't booked and we got there for just after 5pm I think. As vegetarian restaurants go, this place is amazing. All the food looked incredible. We had the stir fry with tofu and the koftas. We also...More

So pleasing to be able to look at a menu, and not have to bi-pass all the meat choices to find the vegetarian option, usually a lasagne or risotto. We had a very enjoyable meal in good surroundings, so wish the restaurant every success.

My last review of this restaurant was in 2012. I'm pleased to say that my opinion is still the same. My kofta dish was amazing! Beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned. Perfect place for vegetarians.

Delicious food, great service. Could have a wider range of main dishes on the menu but the food we had was really tasty. Atmosphere could be made more interesting, perhaps with some background music. We did really enjoy our visit :)

Made reservations one day prior. Delicious starters and main meals; all fresh and like nothing else. A wonderful mixture of flavors and textures. One of our best meals ever. Highly, highly recommend, even if you need to go out of your planned path or journey.

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the

I went without a reservation but that was a Tuesday evening and there were only a couple of tables free, I would recommend booking.
