Had an amazing evening here. Staff were so friendly and really did make it a great atmosphere. It’s was warm and cosy and just more special than a typical restaurant. The food was divine, couldn’t fault it in the slightest. Would definitely recommend this place...More

Such a cute place, really nice setting upstairs with candles and fresh flowers on the tables. The 2 course menu is excellent value (wine was a little expensive) but would definitely go back. We had black pudding and smoked salmon as starters, plus belly pork...More

Booked, based on previous TripAdvisor reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Warm, traditional environment. Fabulous menu. Friendly, efficient staff and the food was simply exquisite!

We had a really excellent Sunday lunch on their set menu, which is really good value. A really helpful waitress. The location just off the Royal Mile is really atmospheric and I’m sure it would be great in the evening. Highly recommended

The service was impeccable; the staff knew the specifics about the food they were serving and made us feel very welcome. As for the food; best halibut I’ve ever tasted.

This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first. A great location in the old town. The game based menu was very good, we have a wide variety of the menu and nothing failed. One main course was served not...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly

that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
