Located at the rear of the excellent delicatessen, is a pleasant cafe, which sells amongst other things, very good coffee. Downsides are the lack of windows (there are velux skylights but no eye level views) and the traditional but rather uncomfortable circular back wooden chairs.

Had a delicious meal here recently, the food was fresh and generous portions. The mozzarella was especially lovely. Really good that the restaurant is open some evenings with a fantastic deal on wine from their shop, very minimal corkage charge which is an excellent idea.
Thank you very much for your review and the 5 stars. We look forward to welcoming you back again.

I went twice to this cafe while in Edinburg - once solo and one with friends. I believe it’s an Edinburgh institution. You've got to know it’s there - it’s right at the back of the deli. I had a delicious cooked breakfast. I also...More
