You may visit CurryCafe at Elm Row in the evening and find a popular busy café with the right smell of Indian food. I visited for lunch and there were absolutely no customers in sight – a completely empty room, but the one-man staff behind the counter did his best to serve a kebab, readymade, tasteless but looking ok. Elm... More

Very disappointed, all the food tasted like it had been doused in curry powder. The korma and butter chicken tasted exactly the same, very spicy but not in a nice way it was just bland and hot. Very low quality meat, couldnt tell the difference between the chicken and the lamb it was that tough and chewy. naan breads were... More

Unfortunately couldn't place a simple order for takeaway, thought I had ordered only to be called back 3 times to confirm, last call 40mins later so I had to cancel and try else where. Not recommend.

From the outside, the cafe looks like a takeaway place. It primarily is, however, having a sit in meal, is suprising. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. The service is great too. So don't "judge a book by it's cover" and book a table.

Been going here over six years and never had a bad meal once. Ordered a takeaway last week it was nothing like the same meals I always order. One tray of lamb curry had shredded lamb and one chunk of lamb, the other had 9. Usually both have 10 to 12 pieces with a thick sauce this was so runny... More

This is now my favourite place to eat curry in Leith, every time I come here to is have dinner with friends. The place is small though but with a very friendly service and a big menu full of chooses and a good price. I had try a different curry every time I go there and I've never been disappointed.... The best takeaway meal I've ever had. Tasty food, plenty of it and good value. We will be back when next in Edinburgh. Thankyou Curry Cafe!
