Just been here for lunch in the snow. Took it into the museum after to eat! The savoury pancakes are huge and a great choice of fillings. Would happily come here again if we are in Edinburgh. Friendly service too. Brilliant!

The crepe I had was LOADED - avocado, goats' cheese, pine nuts, all the good stuff. It's incredibly delicious and filling. I have to stop myself from buying one every single time I pass by.

Tupiniquim sells on the street for about ten years! The name came from one of the native tribes in Brazil, but it is also the nickname for brasilien. All of their crepes are made with manioc or cassava flour, not only is gluten free, but...More

Amazing gluten free crepes. Lots of fillings savoury and sweet. It’s busy at lunch times and we had a 20 minute wait but think it’s because all the university students use it. The ladies are lovely and friendly and crepes are delicious. Definitely worth a...More

We visited Scotland in February 2018, a chilly time of year with temperatures in the 30’s and 40’s with a biting wind. We stayed not too far from this little stand on the corner, sort of like a permanent food truck. He says they have...More

My wife had looked at the Trip Adviser reviews before we departed the states, but we really had no intentions of making a special trip to find Tupiniquim. It just so happens it was on our way to our hotel and there is was. Soo...More

Best food we had in Edinburgh. We went there two days in a row. First day all the savory options were already gone. I could eat this every day. Being Gluten free is added bonus.

This is one of my go-to options for lunch when at work. It does get REALLY busy here around lunchtime but it is worth the wait. I love their spicy Margarita pancakes with avocado, goat cheese and dried tomatoes but their berry and chocolate ones...More

I was wandering around looking for somewhere to grab lunch (not easy when you're both gluten-free and vegetarian) and just happened to stumble across this place! As it was a weekday lunchtime, it was pretty busy, with waiting times of about 30 minutes, but the...More

One of my favourite places to grab lunch around the university! Although you normally have to wait a while (especially during lunch time) it's definitely worth it. Such good value for money and there's a wide range of crepes, both sweet and savoury. You know...More

Southside & Holyrood
Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around
university buildings in Southside, the sort of
neighbourhood that supports a long string of
second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for
just a few pounds. In August the student population is
replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here
for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and
arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking
