There are a lot of little cafes in the bruntsfield area. And everyone has heir idea of the perfect coffee. I stopped drinking coffee a long time ago so finding a good tea in a coffee shop is sometimes not easy. Earl Gray is my choice with a slice of lemon and Green Tea for my wife was delivered perfectly.... More

This small cafe is charming, friendly and very French. Welcomed in French as we walked in; we sat at a small table in this little cafe. Varieties of French bread for sale to take away, patisseries looked amazing! I opted for a lovely "savoie" baguette which was amazing! Fresh ingredients and a great combination of ham, raclette cheese and Dijon... More

It is a really nice cafe with nice tea and coffee and a selection of delicious French cakes and pastries.

We dropped in for coffee and baguette, essentially on a whim as we had been walking quite a lot in orientating ourselves on our short break in the city and required R&R. A great find. French to the core - and that's not a bad thing - with lovely coffee and yummy fresh bread AND friendly staff. Recommended.

I like the very French atmosphere in the place. The baguette is absolutely perfect and the soup with baguette makes an excellent lunch. On the downside (leading to one star deduction): it seems not all of the sweet pastries are made freshly on a daily basis as I recently had a slightly dry Eclaire. But overall it's a great place... Extremely disappointed in the way we were treated when my husband and two daughters and I arrived to have lunch. We arrived at 1.35pm and asked to be seated at a table reserved from 1pm but clearly was still empty. The waitress who was exceedingly rude refused to give us the table (even though those who booked were nearly 40... More

Looks good, nice 'French' bakery ambiance but the food food looks better than it looks. Coffee, teas, cakes and pastries. Table seating for about 12.

Various people have told us of this obviously very popular restaurant. Be aware that it closes at 6pm. This was our first visit possibly missing the full spread as arrived after 2pm but what was on view was most encouraging. Eventually we both chose a quiche and salad which was well presented and very tasty. The staff were pleasant, attentive... More
