Saw this was rated as the best sushi restaurant in Edinburgh and wanted to try it out. Close to Edinburgh castle and was easy to walk to. Waited quite a while to be served but there was a good selection of dishes. My partner and...More
My wife and I went for an early evening meal. The service and sushi couldn't be faulted, really quality food, attentive service, didn't have to ask for refills of green tea or water. The only (very minor) criticism would be the lack of vegetarian dumpling...More
This was our second visit to Kanpai, and the food was every bit as fabulous as we remembered. Beautifully presented, deliciously blended flavours, succulent seafood, varied textures - sheer culinary artistry! I loved the eel, the octopus, the salmon and the snow crab, and my...More

We were lucky because the restaurant was full. It will be better for you if you make a reservation. The food is tasty and innovative, it was not really expensive (46£= 2 starters, 3 kinds of sushi and two Sapporo) go and enjoy!
