The main thing I miss about living in Edinburgh is going to Leo's everyday. Great (and unpretentious) coffee. Amazing locally sourced grub and super friendly staff. Awesome location too.

Great menu and lovely food but let down by bewildered service. Feels like it is run for the benefit of the staff not the customers. Needs an efficient manager.

When much of Edinburgh had closed on 1 March because of thick snow, Leo's Beanery was open! I had feta salad, with the the lightest quinoa I've ever had - it was delicious! They have an interesting small selection of foods - several of our...More

I've stopped in for just a cup of coffee, or cake to takeaway, or lunch with a friend, but my favourite is brunch of Eggs Florentine on one of their tiny precarious tables outside. I like crisp muffins and lots of Hollandaise, and that's what...More

Went for breakfast, excellent breakfast. Four different orders from our party, all were presented brilliantly and were apparently delicious. I had the banana bread and yoghurt and I can’t wait to go back and have it again!

Lovely, friendly little coffee shop with great tasting coffee and the most delicious 'scone of the day', cinnamon and brown sugar. I would love to have the recipe!

In a charming setting, down some stone steps to a warm couple of rooms, this well established small restaurant offers breakfast from 8 am and lunch from 12noon. Noticeably helpful and hard working staff serve freshly prepared dishes, and they will offer advice on the...More

We had a nice brunch here early last week. I had the special - brie, tomato, and avocado on a croissant. It was amazing! The pastries also looked really good. We meant to come back for one later, but ran out of time.

New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,

with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many
of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest
