Brilliant find after cycling up through the Pentland Hills Reservoirs. Staff were all lovely & very helpful & extremely Covid aware. We sat in the rear beer garden as we had the bikes & I was lucky enough to have the fish pie from their...specials board. Probably the best fish pie I’ve ever had in a pub, absolutely jammed with lovely smoked fish, creamy cheesy mash topping The missus had a lovely Ceaser salad also. All the food we saw looked lovely, highly recommendMore

A lot of the usual pub favourites, but the food we had was very well presented and cooked. Cheeseboard with some good local cheeses. Attentive service.

I always enjoy the Spylaw with it being one of my locals serving great drinks and food. Took my brother and nephew out (who were visiting from London) out for dinner and we all had a really lovely time and a great meal. Ribeye Steak...with peppercorn sauce and chips was excellent and we were very well looked after from start to finish.More

I went here last night , as we we staying overnight at my girlfriend's daughter house , so we planned this as a get-together with her best friend and her new partner - very impressed with the SpyLaw , the interior is well done and...has comfortable leather couches and seats . The Menu was very good , and the food was even better , I had the Sweetcorn Fritters ( delicious ) and the Haddock and Chips , the fish was great , tasty and fresh . I enjoyed the Moretti Beer and the rest of our party enjoyed the night . I would say when its a Friday Night its loud with people talking - so don't expect and easy conversation or a quiet dinner . Otherwise - no complaints The Beer Garden is very well done and comfortable with Parasols and lighting I recommend this establishment - be warned BOOK IN ADVANCE .More

Had a fantastic lunch with my manager earlier today - and was delicious. Our waitress was so attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was great, not to small or a big a portion was just the right size. Felt totally...comfortable with all aspects of the restaurant, and satisfied with the controls they had in place with regards to the current situation.More

Had a lovely lunch at the Spylaw. Goan curry and my daughter raved about the beculleugh beef salad just yummy. Special thanks to Diane for looking after us during our visit. Just lovely 😊
