The menu is in the window. Pulled Pork Sandwich!! Chose your size, bun, stuffing (haggis or sage /onion) and sauce, about 5 choices. For stuffing I preferred the haggis - no I am not Scottish - yes I ate here twice. I almost never eat at the same place twice when traveling. The bun hold up to all of the... More

The menu is pretty simple: Size of sandwich, topping (onion/sage or Hagis), type of sauce. The flavor is outstanding. We went to the Victoria Street Location. Service was quick. The place can get busy, but it would be worth the wait. Not many places to sit and eat. Not fancy, just flavorful.

My son has allergies to peanuts and tree nuts so eating out is always difficult. Knowing my son loves his meat, I contacted Oink before our holiday in Edinburgh asking if they could accommodate him and, sure enough, they could. Phew. While walking along the Royal Mile we stumbled upon their wee establishment and went in for lunch. It was... More

If you died and went to pork heaven, it would be in Oink! It comes close to best pork I ever had (Babi Guling in Bali), but Oink is certainly the best pork in the Western Hemisphere, and undoubtedly as good as it gets in a sandwhich. Good price, super efficient service, Q's out the door. But don't miss it.

Very tasty pulled pork. Super fast. Try the haggis for fun. The apples look good on the sandwich. I got the pork in a box.

If you like pork check this place out! Great price for a delicious sandwich! They have multiple locations including one towards the bottom of the royal mile!

I went there fairly often in my 10 day stay in Edinburgh. They have a whole pig roasted and ready to eat! Not suitable for vegans.

We were looking for a quick lunch and this was the perfect option! Is a very simple restaurant with only a few mix of ingredients, but really good! Very recommended!!

Misleading window case display. I asked for extra piece of crispy skin and in return got not even a single piece. Very salty. The only available beer wad strawberry flavoured. Yaiks. Not for me.

There is a few sizes of burger you can choose from. For meat lover, do not go for the smallest as it is really small.

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
