I was there without liking Gin and went out liking Gin and with some nice memories! The barkeeper teached us about Scottish gin and made us some very delicious cocktails of Scottish Gin with Rose Lemonade with Rose leafs inside. It's definitely worth a visit!

we stumbled upon 56 North totally by accident - and are very glad we did. We are not big drinkers but do enjoy the odd G and T. The vast array of gins combined with the suggestions for how to serve was one to delight...More

We went here in a group of 17 people - the staff catered and attended to us brilliantly. The food was lovely, great choice and a really good selection of cocktails. An absolutely amazing list of gins...frozen slushies were fab!

Dropped into 56 North on a spur of the moment for lunch. Had the goat cheese, tomato and avocado chicken burger which was really well cooked. However, check out the drinks menu. There must have been more than 6 pages of different varieties of gin...More

Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around
university buildings in Southside, the sort of
neighbourhood that supports a long string of
second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for
just a few pounds. In August the student population is
replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here
for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and
arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking
