Having booked on-line and received confirmatory email, we received the least welcoming reception we have ever experienced. Head chef and manageress looked at us and treated us as if we were from Mars. Nil Points! Food however was superb

The meals are well prepared and large portions. Nice place to have dinner with friends or family. When in EDI it's worth a visit (West End)

Despite late arrival and without booking, we still had a warm welcome !! We discovered the black pudding there. What a pleasant surprise. The service is very good, very present without being suffocating !

Lovely little restaurant. Service was good and attentive. Hats off to the chef, our steaks were cooked to perfection. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal. We're from London and would go back to Edinburgh for a two night stay just to have dinner at this restaurant.

West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in
industrial Britain had their most desirable
neighbourhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes.
Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and
sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along
