Went here for dinner, fish & chips and bbq chicken. Both tasted great! The fish & chips was a good size portion, the chicken had 2 smaller pieces and mash. The staff were quick and friendly. The restaurant is above the pub, small area but...More

Fantastic service, great ambiance with history. Start with mussels, both the shepherd pie and salmon were great for main dishes. Cheesecake was more like a moose, but still good.

We had the Shepard’s pie and the venison stew. Both were beyond delicious. Succulent meat cooked to perfection. Potatoes creamy, veggies firm. An A+ meal. Add a fine single malt and you’ve reached heaven.

Stopped here for a refreshment whilst walking around our capital city! Good selection of local beers and a very friendly and cheery bar man! Nice wee pub.

This the pkace to vo with a good selection of beers and excellent domestic/ international food. Curtious waiters, fast and responsive, and a burger "to die for". My friends had pasta, haggis and Shepard' s Pie, and no complaints there either. Highly recommended.

Billed as Edinburgh ‘s first gastro pub. Stopped for lunch. I had the soup of the day, an excellent thick mushroom soup served with bread. My husband had smoked salmon starter with whole grain bread & capers. We both drank Maltsmith American style IPA. Lunch...More

We had no idea it would be so hard to find a table early on a Friday night. Either the pubs weren't serving and we're super crowded or there was a waiting list and we didn't want to wait. The Doric accommodated us and the...More

Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street

Hi I'm afraid we do not have a meeting room per se, we have a separate wine bar but this is open to the bar and restaurant area.
