This is the restaurant in the Apex City of Edinburgh hotel where we stayed last week. Ate here on the last evening of our holiday and it was the best. I can recommend the deconstructed strawberry cheesecake!

The prix fixe menu here (3 courses, £20) is a stone-cold bargain. At full a la carte prices - mmmm, not sure. 5 starters, 1 unavailable and another 3 containing allergens for me; 6 main courses, of which I had the sea bream and lentils...More

We visited this restaurant for a family meal. The fixed price menu was excellent value and I find it hard to understand why the place isn't busier.

Pleasant experience but with no Scottish staff working in the restaurant not the Scottish welcome expected, just adequate low key service - need a bit more enthusiasm. Food good quality and the set meal is good value.

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
