The historic Ship Inn is well worth a visit if you are in Broughty Ferry. There are three excellent real ales and the food they served seemed to be good value, as did the wine. It is possible to sit outside from March until the...More

Up in Dundee for a conference. Catching up with pals decided on here. Haggis fritter enough for a main ! Ship inn fish pie... gorgeous! Hearty, tasty and packed with prawns and fish. Cheese board to finish was pure gluttony but perfect finalé.

Right on the water Broughty Ferry section of Dundee, there is a lively pub on 5 ground floor and a table service restaurant upstairs. The food was representative of what one might expect in a pub type restaurant in Scotland.

Food was fresh, arrived quickly with very generous portions. Beautiful location and I’d recommend going upstairs. I’d have liked if there were healthy options (eg some grilled fish) but if you’re in mood for good pub food then it’s a good place to go. Parking...More
