On day out to the Sunday Market popped into Arieti for a refreshment. Delicious toasted tea cake, one of the best we have ever tasted and a hot drink. Husband had a cappuccino, it was so tasty he had anther. I had lemon and ginger...tea lovely and refreshing. The service was punctual with staff who were very professional, welcoming and polite. Will be back on next visit to the Market.More

Good coffee (flat white with oat milk), excellent shortbread and coffee and walnut cake! Very friendly and well staffed. We visited because we needed a charge for our electric vehicle and there was a good CSS charger in the town’s free car park just off...the motorway. So much better than going to a motorway service station! Great that you’re open on a Sunday. Only reason for 4 out of 5 was the cold furniture.More

Quality of food is good and staff are attentive. Definitely one to try. One of the smaller Cafes in Moffat.

Having driven from East Lothian this was our first stop, after asking a local lady she said there was one across the road so that's where we went to. It was really busy but we enjoyed a lovely lunch when nothing was a problem. Excellent...staff looked after us, would defiantly return if we were in Moffat again.More

Called in late Saturday afternoon after the dreich weather caused us to change our walking plans. Really good coffee and a good choice of home-baking. Tempted by the Hummingbird cake (had never heard of it but apparently it's a cross between carrot cake and banana...bread) but had some very good chocolate, apricot and almond cake instead. Headed south for a night and needed a late lunch stop on the way back home - knowing the range of sandwiches and toasties available + soup was too tempting so we went back! No cake this time as the sandwiches and toasties were a good size. Sadly we were too late for soup this visit but I'm sure we'll be back. Friendly service and seems popular with locals as well as tourists passing through.More

Cafe Ariete was an excellent choice for a light lunch. Service was quick and friendly. I had a generous helping of really delicious chicken soup with plenty of meat in it. We both enjoyed toasted sandwiches which had plenty of filling and were also delicious....The pot of tea was good too. We have no hesitation in recommending Cafe Ariete.More

What a wonderful little cafe. Had the most incredible homemade biscoff cake bar. I honestly could have done a backflip with delight it was so good and I’ve never done a backflip ever. The coffee is definitely the best in Moffat, potentially the best in...the Dumfries and Galloway area. Thanks 🙏🏼More

Second time we have dived off the motorway to this lovely cafe for breakfast. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Both meaty and veggie breakfast well cooked and delicious 😋 👍

Just wanted a light breakfast of tea and toast. No problem to the staff. Came with extra butter and jam. Nice start to the day.

Indeed the opening hours are 9 - 5. I'm not sure whether Ariete opens on a Sunday.
